Clean and neat rooms, very centrally located and next to a underground station with a shopping centre within walking distance and a good deli shop next door.   My initial expecations of a high standard were reassured by the exterior of the building , then the welcome of the manager who was informative and helpful .I requested a quiet apartment and was not disappointed . Great location . I will stay there again . - excellent to have a small apartment instead of a hotel room, very good value for money. Has everything one needs in an apartment, even for a few days (kitchenette, fridge, crockery, cutlery). Nice modern and decoration, very comfortable. Modern flat screen TV and even an iPod docking station! I would go here again for a short city trip in London. Easy walk from Russell Square and to British Museum, Univ of London. Just opposite Charles Dickens House.

  The staff was very friendly and polite. We had such a warm welcome. We could leave our luggage even though we could not check in untill 2. Also when we had already checked out in the morning we were allowed to take our lunch in the garden and pick up our luggage in the evening. The facilities are great. The shared bathroom was perfectly clean, and nice clean towels were provided every day. The beds are - The location was excellent as it was near the British Museum and shopping streets of Oxford and Totterham. The receptionist Roger is very good in his job and in giving advise. I do the same job so I know what is expected.The Arran Hotel is a small place but has a great heart. Breakfast was tasty and grand. The bathroom/ rooms were very clean. I found the hotel to be in a great location. A great recommendation.
