  The staff were extremely friendly and courteous. In fact, the manager made a point of welcoming us as we enjoyed a pre-dinner drink in the bar which was very thoughtful. The rooms were very comfortable and the hotel situated in a beautiful setting. The food was superb - I'd have no hesitation in recommending it to my friends/work colleagues. - Staf... wat mensen zeggen » f were all exceptionally helpful and professional. We were greeted by a receptionist who immediately arranged for someone to take our bags up to our rooms. Both rooms were very clean, comfortable and had beautiful views over the Chatsworth Estate. The evening meal in the Garden Room was excellent.

  This inn is about as traditionally English as you can get; from the four poster bed to the snug bar, well stocked with a good selection of local ales. The secluded location, deep in the Peak district, was just what we were looking for, although finding it on a dark windy night was a bit hair-raising (fortunately, the GPS did not let us down). The breakfast menu had the largest selection I - The inn was decorated beautifully for Christmas it and the staff are very friendly and helpful even though they were busy with customers when we arrived. The room was a good size and very clean, a good selection of hot drinks on the tray. Stay here if you are wanting to relax away from busy life. The setting is stunning, the only downfall being a very busy road outside, but you could not here it from inside the inn. There are beautiful walks, lovely cafes and tearooms, locals are very friendly
