  The whole experience was so relaxing, the facilities amazing and the people were very attentive and helpful. Incredibly good value for money and well located to do lots of interesting day trips. We went on safari, climbed Sigiriya (get a guide it's definitely worth it) and went to Buddhist temples. Beautiful grounds that ooze tranquility and relax... wat mensen zeggen » ation. Food was good and very well priced for a luxury hotel. I wouldnt think twice about staying here again. - I loved the fact that the staff were incredibly friendly. We arrived early and our room was not ready. They made every effort to ensure it was ready 2 hours prior to usual check in and they even phoned us on our cell phone to let us know it was ready.

  There is nothing better than arriving in Columbo after a long flight and a nerve-rattling taxi ride through the city's crazy traffic, to be greeted by the Hilton's smiling, uber-professional staff and a welcome glass of cold lemonade. Aaaah! I cannot fault the Hilton Columbo. It was excellent in every way.   The room was incredible. Like stepping abck in time. It was full of beautiful old furniture yet the design was modern - a perfect fusion. I have stayed in many 5* boutique hotels and this one is by far the best room. Must be seen to be believed.   This hotel is beautiful and an oasis of calm in the city. The rooms are huge - almost like an apartment and tastefully furnished. The bed is very comfortable and big.
