It is still the best location even though there is a refurbished hotel at the other end of Galle face Green with nice rooms but not not the same quality or class by a million miles. Make sure you are in the new wing as the old wing is now very tired although it was the best a few years back. I think it is being refurbished and then it will be the better wing as the rooms are huge.

  The room was incredible. Like stepping abck in time. It was full of beautiful old furniture yet the design was modern - a perfect fusion. I have stayed in many 5* boutique hotels and this one is by far the best room. Must be seen to be believed.   The whole experience was so relaxing, the facilities amazing and the people were very attentive and helpful. Incredibly good value for money and well located to do lots of interesting day trips. However following our arrival at cinnamon lodge in habarana (booking made through letsbookhotel.com), we were very disappointed to see that there was no gym even though the hotel was rated as 5 star by your website.   Imagine a large house, restored or remodeled into a very attractive and comfortable contemporary structure with a fabulous view, all for a price that would be associated with something much less. The Staff (Michael and Edwin) were just excellent and attentive to details and always ready at your service. The Owner too, Mr. Mahinda, was always kind and eager to help whenever needed.
