  The location was excellent!! I can't say that enough! Basically in Puerta del Sol, with a subway station 1 min away, and at walking distance from the major attractions (Gran Via, Plaza de Cibeles, Calle Alcalá, Palacio Real, Catedral de Almudena, Paseo del Prado, etc.) a lot of shops, restaurants and cafés nearby, but inside the hotel it was reall... wat mensen zeggen » y quite, besides all the street noise. The room was comfortable and reasonably clean. I recommend it if you are travelling on a budget! You really can - 1) location 2) clean 3) check-out 12 a.m. is really comfortable

  Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam, de locatie van het hotel was perfect, direct naast een metrostation en midden in het oude centrum en dicht bij de Gran Via. Vooral de prijs/kwaliteit-verhouding was super. - Personeel was erg vriendelijk. Ligging was perfect en ook de prijs zeer netjes.

We could walk to the major areas of interest and the Atocha train station (cab with luggage). There are dozens of tapas bars near the hotel. The hotel staff was very helpful and courteous. - It was very comfortable indeed, in the heart of Madrid, with an excellent cafe for breakfast in the hotel itself. In addition, the price for the room represented excellent value for money and if the hotel had not been fully-booked, we would have stayed longer at it.

  The studio apartment was very good and over-looking the main tourist area. Yet it was not noisy as the air-conditioning and sound-proofing was good. The first day the studio was a hole-in the wall. But they apologised and cut a third of the room rent and moved us the next day. So when you book insist on the second floor apartment. - Perfect Locat... wat mensen zeggen » ion!!! Made a brilliant start to our Spain holiday. A clean spacious apartment with an excellent view.   I stayed here for 2 nights and I would definitely recommend it. Good price. Perfect location, only 1 mins to walk from Sol, with 3 metro lines and 1 train line to the airport. Very friendly staff. Old building but was clean and comfortable. Provided 1 shower towel and 1 piece of soap. Fast wifi. - The prices are very reasonable, the quality is re... wat mensen zeggen » ally excellent: a nice comfortable room with a huge bed, a wardrobe, a desk and even a sink (that is conveniet as you do not need to go to the shared bath everytime you need a water). Staff is also perfect - friendly and always ready to help!

  Hostal Veracruz is very nice and has clean rooms with AC and own bathrooms. It is very close to Sol, so really in very center of Madrid and Spain. Everything is in walking distance or else the metro and cercanias are near by (at Sol). You are in the thick of the nightlife of Madrid and of the shopping center. You can have a nice breakfast in de Mu... wat mensen zeggen » seo del Jámon next door. Unobtrusive but friendly personnel. This really a nice place to stay. - I had a great stay in hostal Veracruz! The single room was good and very comfortable. Everything was also very clean and the staff was friendly. This is a fantastic place to stay when you need to move through the city and don't want to miss the ambiance of Madrid city centre!
