My God what a place to stay! We arrived quite late in the dark and woke to the most incredible views on the planet! Food is fantastic, staff are really friendly and helpful. We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Champagne Castle Hotel. It is in a beautiful setting with so many enjoyable walks direct from the hotel gardens. All the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We will definitely be recommending this hotel to any of our friends and family who may visit the Drakensberg.

June was the most friendliest hostess we ever have had! She had beach equipment (chairs, surf board, mask+snorkel, coolers) which we lent to Cape Vidal. On our early birding morning she prepared lunch boxes even for the guide.

We loved the friendly staff, the decor and environment, the sight and sound of the birds and nature all around us. It was blissfully quiet and restful and naturally beautiful. Ballito is not in a city area, it is a few minutes from airport so you go to Ballito to relax and enjoy a small town living and that is exactly what we got.
