  Lasee is an outstanding host. She made us feel totally at home and understood exactly what our needs were, even before being asked! Gugu does a fabulous breakfast. Nothing is too much trouble for them- I am very fussy and would recommend unreservedly. - Les and Peter were really friendly and exceptional hosts. They made our visit a joy.   We simply loved this place, everything about it. Great rooms, they smell so nice and fresh :-) nice facilities, beautiful garden. Cathy and John are excellent hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. Gave us great restaurant tips and we could just listen to John's storries all day long. We didn't want to leave. Btw, breakfast is a must. We will for... wat mensen zeggen » sure come back, thank you for everything. - John and Cathy were fantastic hosts who were always available and offered superb recommendations when our plans were abruptly on hold. Location is superb, but would advise hiring a car to keep things easy, breakfasts and johns stories are worth the cash alone. Overall great value, in a great location and we can't wait to return. Jo and I felt at home from the off thanks to John and Cathy.

  The manager, Milton, deserves a Christmas bonus. He is an absolute star. - This lodge (which apparentely is advertised as a hotel - but is not) was conveniently situated for our purposes. i.e both business and leisure.

Sea view, excellent breakfeast and most of all hospitallity by Dorothy and Alex that makes you feel like you stay with your South African parents. What ever we asked for they helped us with. They were even prepared to make me an early morning breakfast before I rode the Amashova road race on the Sunday the 13th October.   Afrikaya is so nice, Joyce gives plenty of information about St-Lucia, it is also a good place to stay if you want to do a safari in the Hluwehluwe park. This park is even better than Krugerpark! Definately worth the trip to St-Lucia! Also recommended: Zulu experience (Eurozulu) and do - Joyce and Maurice were great hosts we loved talking to them about St Lucia and Africa in general.Both are well informed and really great hosts. Their staff are some of the best we have encountered. The breakfasts are wonderful and nothing we asked for was too much trouble to accomodate

  As anyone knows, a guest house / B&B experience is 50% the accommodation and 50% the staff/owner. Here, the accommodation is really quite nice and in a beautiful location. I was upgraded to what i guess is the big house which was spectacular. Wish i could have moved in permanently. The star though is definitely the Owner and staff. If you want to see the Sani Pass - The Old Hatchery is a fantastic & romantic place to stay over. We slept like angels in our kingsize bed and relaxed in our very big bath. The food is very great and tasteful and the atmosphere of the bar near the fireplace is so amusing! We've been there in the fall and the hostess even made roasted chestnuts for us on request. Mmmmhhhh... The view is quite idyllic and the sunset is like the aurora borealis but then by daylight. Very weird, but a must see! It's a good place to discover the
