  We really enjoyed our stay there. Our hosts where just great to talk to. Very friendly and knowlegeable on the area. He greated us with a refreshing drink and took the time to tell us about the area, the good restaurants and what to visit. He provided us with a local maps and great tips for local tours. Our room was very spacious, clean and br... wat mensen zeggen » ight. Although it was near the main dinning area, we were never bothered by early morning noises as they were setting up for breakfast. The breakfas - This is a excellent property in every way. We stayed in a room with a private entrance and small terrace overlooking the garden. It was a treat to wake each morning to the sounds of birds in the trees and sun filtering through the window. The room was well appointed, extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated.   Manaar House is definitely one of the best places to stay in Durban/Umhlanga. We stayed there for three nights in the self Catering Apartment. The a/c duplex unit was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and well maintained. Not a single word of criticism worth mentioning here, except maybe that it is located pretty close to the ... wat mensen zeggen » motorway, so having breakfast on the large roof terrace might become a bit noisy. But the best thing to report was the warm, generous and very welcomi - As a couple with young kids, it was an absolute dream staying at Manaar House as it was so kid friendly that our kids did not want to go out because of the toys provided in our section of the house! They had so much fun & were so comfortable and as parents, that mattered most to us. The views from the kids rooms were phenomenal & they absolutely loved it!   We stayed 8 people in the apartment with a huge terasse with a great view over the forrest and the sea in the background. Just beneath is the great and clean pool and a little garden. Bianca was very helpfull with information and loaning us maps for a safari trip to Hluhluwe Game Reserve. Little Eden made it really easy to enjoy - their staff are friendly, always happy to help and willing to bend over backwards for you. The accomodation was lovely! We stayed on the top floor and enjoyed a stunning view of the Estuary and Ocean every morning. One night, we even had a hippo wander into the garden - amazing to see - but a little scary at the same time.

  I arrived late in the evening due to a delayed flight an mess up with my car rental, but when I arrived Glynis was there with a big smile and my keys. Breakfast was a feast every morning & on my last day we went out deep sea fishing & left very early in the morning. I would recommend Igwalagwala Guest House to anyone looking for a clean, freindly place to stay, with Hosts - The genuine, warm friendliness of our welcome on arrival.   The owners make you very welcome in their home. The location is very quite, short drive/walk to St. Lucia mainstreet. Upon arrival we received an extended explanation of St. Lucia and surroundings, which was very helpfull. Breakfast is delicious!
