  The manager was excellent and did all she could to make our stay a pleasant one. For the price, the facilities were much better than expected. Our stay was relaxing.   Manaar House is definitely one of the best places to stay in Durban/Umhlanga. We stayed there for three nights in the self Catering Apartment. The a/c duplex unit was extremely spacious, spotlessly clean, nicely furnished and well maintained.   We simply loved this place, everything about it. Great rooms, they smell so nice and fresh :-) nice facilities, beautiful garden. Cathy and John are excellent hosts and made our stay very enjoyable. Gave us great restaurant tips and we could just listen to John's storries all day long. We didn't want to leave. Btw, breakfast is a must.   Perfect styling of rooms, and enviroment. Breakfast in very nice atmosphere. Owners were very friendly and gave us a lot of recommondations for the day. Nice courtyard with well equiped Barbecue corner. But we did not ask for. - The owners were very friendly and helpful in telling us about things to see in the area - room was small very clean furnished beautifully and in line with being in the heart of Zulu land. We really enjoyed it totally relaxing lovely pools and braai areas in the courtyard. The breakfast provided was also very nice and set you up for the day I would certainly recomend to friends.

  We really enjoyed our stay there. Our hosts where just great to talk to. Very friendly and knowlegeable on the area. He greated us with a refreshing drink and took the time to tell us about the area, the good restaurants and what to visit. He provided us with a local maps and great tips for local tours. The grounds are beautiful, the room immaculate and the wonderful hosts, David and Pam, are friendly and attentive.
