  The manager was excellent and did all she could to make our stay a pleasant one. For the price, the facilities were much better than expected. Our stay was relaxing.   The hotel is well priced but the location is very dodgy to say the least.We were able to get parking at least.The close proximity of the bars are a huge turnoff and that coupled with the night staff at the front desk being so indifferent to my child who tried to greet was not a great advert for the hotel.I Was happy with the rest of the staff as w... wat mensen zeggen » ell as the neatness and breakfast was satisfactory.I Will not stay there again.It is not kid friendly. - We had a nice weekend @ Albany hotel together with my friends. The positive thing is transport is just near meaning local taxis without a hassle in just few seconds. The friendly staff of Albany hotel always available to assist with a smile. It was funished with antique furniture and the bed was of a good qual - The total experience, but primarily the rewriting of history. The colonial history of the hotel is abundantly clear in its incredible collection of wooden furniture, tap crowns, low door handles, etc. However, it reflects a poetic irony in the Madiba art collection and his inspiring words in his own handwriting, and the "new" queen of the castle halfway up the majestic stair case.   We had the most amazing idyllic view from our balcony. The inn has seen its better days but it's wonderful still, beautiful gardens not fenced or gated like most other hotels in South Africa.   As anyone knows, a guest house / B&B experience is 50% the accommodation and 50% the staff/owner. Here, the accommodation is really quite nice and in a beautiful location. I was upgraded to what i guess is the big house which was spectacular. Wish i could have moved in permanently. The star though is definitely the Owner and staff. If you want to see the Sani Pass - The Old Hatchery is a fantastic & romantic place to stay over. We slept like angels in our kingsize bed and relaxed in our very big bath. The food is very great and tasteful and the atmosphere of the bar near the fireplace is so amusing! We've been there in the fall and the hostess even made roasted chestnuts for us on request.
