  This hotel is a rare gem. The staff is simply exceptional in their level of care, friendliness and willingness to do anything possible to make your visit to Penang interesting and enjoyable. From the moment you step into this magical place you are welcomed as if you are royalty. You are allowed the privilege of experiencing the special life of wea... wat mensen zeggen » lthy 19th century Straits Chinese but with all the most up to date contemporary conveniences. Our room which was actually a suite was decorated with - It's a beautifully restored set of old houses, the staff are courteous, friendly and helpful, there are special touches like the 4pm cup of tea and kuih (local cake) by the poolside. It rained part of the time we were there but this was a lovely place to just relax and read a book in peace. The Kebaya restaurant was where we had the best meal during our three days, wish it were open for lunch too.
