  We had a wonderful stay at Hotel El Jebel. We were traveling with our kids, ages 4 and 6, and the staff could not have been kinder or more attentive. My son declared it "the best hotel he had ever stayed in," and he was not far off.   This is a luxury hotel which you can tell from its price, but the view is worth everthing. Great location, just on the centre of Taormina's main street. And the staff is helpful. They got us a van in one hour and send us to San Vito Lo Capo where is 5-6 hour driving distance from T - I loved this hotel. Everything is perfect. The hotel has a greate design with a fantastic bar and restaurant with a very romantic views overlooking the bay. The staff is supernice and really make you feel welcome. This is a lovely place to stay if you want a bit of luxury and romance. It is offcourse a bit expensive also the bar and restaurant. But that is understandable - you get what you are paying for so it is OK.

Very relaxing feel to the whole place, lovely pool and terrace area with again stunning views. The pool is a little on the small side but the hotel doesn't seem to hold many so it all feels quite intimate.   My my, what a hard review to write. I can tell you now, that these photos or anything I write here, will not do this hotel justice. If you are looking at this hotel now however, give yourself a highfive, cause you have just found a gem. I have pretty much been raised in five star hotels and have seen them all. In our age with all the media tools we have available nothing is really left ope - Do not compare a 5* hotel in Sicily with a 5* hotel anywhere else in the world...Saying that, we had a lovely time despite some flaws, exploring the Etna region and playing golf on the oldest golf course in Sicily nearby (green fee reduction when you stay in the hotel). Make sure to visit Castiglione di Sicilia about 1/2 hr. away. Hotel is in a very quiet area in well kept grounds, perfect for a short break.
