  We were treated like royalty... the owners of the hotel, a family, helped us with all our tourism questions, they accomodated all our needs, and then offered even more! Our stay could not have been any better. They made us feel like part of their family! It was just wonderful! From talking with other businesses around town that Tramonto D'Oro h... wat mensen zeggen » as a great reputation around the towns. - We were greeted at the door with open arms and treated like family during our too short stay. The room was lovely and the view breathtaking! The rooftop pool was truly an oasis! The parking was an unexpected blessing after driving the Amalfi and seeing how scarce it is. The matriarch warmly shook hands with us as we departed. I hope to return some day. lovely breakfast, too!!

  Antonietta and Giovanna were the perfect hosts from start to finish. Their staff including Nico, Diego and Paulo were always very polite, pleasant and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for Antonietta, Giovanna and their staff!! The hotel looks great and our room was clean and a good size with a patio area leading to the garden. All in all, Orsa Maggiore is a beautiful hotel with excellent owners and - Orsa Maggiore was a beautiful stop for us on our honeymoon. I would request a room Oceanside (beautiful sunsets). The rooms are clean and pretty, but here, you are paying for the views and a great design of a pool area! The staff are also all very nice and helpful! They made good dinner recommendations and always offered to shuttle you around the island (this is quite helpful if you know Capri) and the wifi connection is good. Also-the free breakfast is plentiful!

  Hotel was in an excellent location, really central but not noisy. We had a room with a terrace which overlooked the pool. It was really nice; it was a bit cool to use the pool but if you did it would be nice to retreat to your private terrace; might be noisy in the room though if the pool was busy; a minor concern though.The room also contained a ... wat mensen zeggen » porch and settee area. The reception, cleaning staff, porter and breakfast attendants were all very good. There was a nice range of breakfast fare. - The hotel itself was beautiful, clean and nicely landscaped...we used the pool and it was fantastic, a nice place to get away from the crowds. (and trust me, there are massive crowds during the day when the cruise ships come to town....) Our room (212) was huge with a nice balcony overlooking the gardens. The hotel was in a good location, just a quick walk from the main piazza. Breakfast was good, lots of choices.

The staff were all very friendly except the restaurant manager who was very hard to understand and decided what we should eat with no regards to personel tastes ie vegetarian, all he offered was a veal cutlet in breadcrumbs for our romantic meal. We were impressed w/cleanliness, hospitality, and quietness.

  During a 2-week trip to Italy this great hotel was the highlight. The stunning views of the bay of Naples from our room and the beautiful dining room/ restaurant were a joy! The staff are super friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good with a nice variety (including tasty omelettes and cappucinos). The hotel is close to a bus stop (orange/ red buses into town and the train station, blue Sita buses to Amalfi an Positano). We, - The hotel is located on a very scenic spot of Sorrento, on a cliff. My wife like the decoration and setting of the hotel, she ranked it the best hotel. This comment is not light considering we have traveled a lot over the past 30 years. The restaurant is one of the highlights of the hotel. They make gorgeous, delicious food at a very reasonable price. We stayed 5 days there and it was a very pleasant stay. Will recommend to anybody traveling to Sorrento.

  My wife and I travelled to this hotel for a night on our honeymoon. It was better than we could have imagined. The reason we chose this hotel was because of the brilliant reviews of the restaurant Taverna Del Capitano ( a michelin star restaurant) that is below the hotel. This hotel provides deck chairs right on the water edge and the water is clear and warm. The s - Without a doubt the best hotel this part of Italy. Friendly manager, delectable food and spotless room - what else could one asks for? The super cheerful owner-manager Claudio never runs out of energy from his multiple tasks. Alfonso's kitchen lives up to its Michelin-star'd reputation. He never fails to delight. An excellent choice for beach lovers. This amazing tavern does everything right to make one's stay memorable. Anyone seeking a restful, fuss-free break should come here.
