  The apartment that we had had two double rooms, a shared bathroom (with shower rather than bath) and a well fitted kitchen/diner. The diner had a gas hob, oven, fridge/freezer and a washing machine - all of high quality. Only one of the bedrooms had a window with a view - the other rooms had remotely controlled velux windows in the sloping ceiling... wat mensen zeggen » s. A well located, well equipped and well looked after apar - We enjoyed everything at the apartment, the view was amazing and the apartment was well equipped and very clean. We were welcomed by Roberta, a colleague to Ennio, who was SO nice and wonderful. She had stayed up way after midnight to let us in, and she was so kind a funny to talk to. The steps up to the place is of course hard, but what do you expect when renting a place on 4th floor – just enjoy the old building!   First, I need to explain that this is like a house or apartment with a small living room and kitchen area and then several floors of rooms with shared bathrooms inside of a larger building that houses other residences and some offices, as well. It is not a hotel, per se. One could use the kitchen (put items in the refrigerat - A bit of a find, this - right in the centre of Siena, the many stairs lead to a top floor maze of linked apartments managed from the floor below. Astonishing views from both communal areas and some rooms. Kitchen extremely well set up and spacious - could happily cook a family meal here if travelling on a budget. Theres even a freezer. Owners good-natured and helpful eg: allowed us to leave bags there on last day to pick up later.

The room was sparse of decorations; but clean, neat and livable. It is an easy 20 minute walk downhill from the central train station with luggage. Plan for the uphill return trip if you don't take luggage. And it is within easy walk of the old city. We concluded that this is an excellent value for money and will likely stay here aga
