  I had mixed feelings about the hotel when I booked it because I never lived in a two star hotel. But as far as I understood 2-star hotels in Florence are not that far from 4-star hotels in other cities. Besides the price was very moderate in comparison with hotels in other famous cities. Located on quiet street, about 10 minutes walk to the borders of old city. There was swedish breacfast. Friendly staff also helped with economy parking places. Near the hotel some shops (for it was better than empty trip to outlet near Florence), trattorias, and Coop supermarket.

It's apparently a family run hotel and the owners're proud of their town. Great location, we could see the Medici Chapel from our window. We asked for a room facing the courtyard/cathedral during booking after seeing a review on letsbookhotel.com, and the hotel gave us a room on the top most floor with the best possible view :) Air conditioned room with soundproof windows. Breakfast is definitely worth the money for 5 euros per person. Laundromat and mini supermarket on same street. Good strong wifi.

  Where do I begin. Anyone who has searched for clean and affordable accommodations in Florence know that it is not an easy task. After hours of searching between Tripadvisor and another site, I decided to book a room at Rosso23. The hotel is very convenient to everything worth seeing and doing in Florence. The hotel clerk was very professional and even offered to make reservations for a place to eat my first night (I was not - The hotel is a nice mix of modern and old. The rooms are nicely appointed-the bed is relatively comfortable. The breakfast was quite good and the breakfast area is nice-particularly if you can sit in the courtyard. The location of the hotel is fantastic as it sits right in the Piazza so it was a great launching point. The room was quiet because it did not face the Piazza so keep this in mind when booking.
