  My boyfriend Nico and I had a brilliant stay at Hotel Central Residency. The staff were really helpful and picked us up and dropped us off at the train station, organised our tours on the Ganges and the temples etc. (which were very reasonable and also very good) and basically ensured our stay was good as it possibly could be. The room - I liked the fact that the hotel is very clean and fresh, having been newly built in 2012, and there is attention to keeping a high standard of cleanliness. There are also modern conveniences, and the food is good. The owner and all the staff work harmoniously as one family, and there is a good, cheerful feeling, and all are genuinely helpful, including the humble, kind tour guide Bindi, who told us things about the ghats that we were not aware of.

  First time in 4 months I have had a proper hot shower in India. The wifi worked well in my room, I did not have to go looking for a hot spot. The location is great, right near the main ghat, and I was actually taken and shown where I could eat, where to get autos, how to find my way back to hotel. I was able to leave my luggage and use room facilities for no extra cost in the afternoon, as I had a night train. I fe - I had a wonderful staying in Ganges Inn, and I found the place very clean, with a very friendly and helpful staff, on a wonderful location if your plans are to stay very close to the main Gaths on the Ganges river. I've visited as a solo female traveller and also I felt extremely safe. I definitely would recommend it for anyone who wants to experience Varanasi.
