  The hotel is centrally located in the old town part of Munich. Easily accessible by public transportation and close to all main tourist sites. The room was quite big and comfortable. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was, for a pension in the city center. There were even two live plants in the room. The staff was curteo... wat mensen zeggen » us and the breakfast was good. - Great location, clean, quiet (our room was facing courtyard). Very helpful personnel. We've paid 75 Euros for the double room with private shower/WC during the Opera festival which is a great deal for Altstadt. If you don't want the dull continental breakfast, go to Segafredo café on Rosenthal 1 (outside terrace facing market square).

  We are senior couple and prefere to stay close to the downtown, so that to be able to return home in the afternoon and relax for a while to be ready for further explorations. This hotel was just perfect from this view point. It is small. homy and quiet. It's such a pleasure to wake up not because of the street noises, but birds' singing!   This hotel is in a very convenient location close to the train station, subway, museums and inner city sites. The room was very spacious and nicely furnished with a comfortable four poster king size bed. The bathroom had a roomy shower and a much appreciated heated floor. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. We ... wat mensen zeggen » were very pleased with the hotel and its location, and we stayed there a second time after a side trip to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. - The hotel location is exrtremely great because it is situated almost right on the Karlsplatz and it takes about 7 minutes of nice walk to get to Marienplatz. Besides, the Main Railway station is also close and the U-Bahn station is right in front of the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is cheap and very tasty. - The staff at Hotel Stachus. We had caught the overnight train from Berlin so arrived very early to the hotel. The lady on reception was very gracious and looked after our bags and arranged early check in for us ~12 noon. Very well located, close to trains and Main Street. Big windows that allowed fresh air at a good breeze at night.
