The common spaces were lovely. We enjoyed sitting in the lounge with a glass of wine in the evening looking out at the harbour. And the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was convenient having the little grocery store and bakery next door, and we liked that we were right on the water. -

Very French, friendly and homely environment.initially we felt a bit uncomfortable as items are being covered up or removed of fear that our baby (16 months old) would do any damage however,it didnt take long for the owners to warm up to our son and he received cuddles and company. -

Enjoyed 3 nights of luxury during 5 weeks in France. Loved the quiet location (car GPS needed to find it the first time), but only a short drive into Carcassonne. We received an excellent welcome from the owner who supplied us with full information about the area which we wouldn't have got from a travel book.
The chateau has been restored into a contemporary hotel with excellent fittings and wi fi. Our suite was very large, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is about an 8 minute drive from Carcassonne. It is worth visiting the Canal du Midi at Trebes and the picturesque Legrasse.
