  Beds were very comfortable, the staff was very very nice, and breakfast buffet for €6 was a blast! It might not be in the very center of Helsinki, but has so many attractions nearby, more than in the center. Many buses and the train pass close. Big lockers! (Just bring your lock ;-) ). Even do the booking had me and my mom on separate rooms (1 for... wat mensen zeggen » males and 1 for females) they do have mixed rooms, and since it's such a big hostal, they put us in one by ourselves; very nice from them. Overall: - Location is nice. About 2 km from the bus station and city center. 3 km from the ferry docks. Rooms are well maintained, chair for everybody. Each bed has its own 2 plugs and light. They also give you towels if you request. Buffet breakfast for 6.30 €. Common room for tv and kitchen. Staff was helpful. If you walk 2km downtown, there you can take the airport shuttle.

  Surprisingly large and surprisingly quiet as well, Domus Academica is a good place for those who like minimalism and is seld-contained. There are several buildings, including houses for living, swimming pool and sauna (the two last-mentioned are free for visitors: every morning from 7 till 8:30 for women and from 8:30 till 10 for men). Each room has a separate bathroom and a tiny kitchen, while the houseware could be borrowed from the kitchen - We just needed a quiet place where we could cook food, and rest between shopping and sightseeing, without carpets on the floor. Since we both have to avoid certain foods, the cooking and opportunity to keep food cold was essential. It was very cheap compared to other self-catering options, and the windows effectively shut out noise from the streets. There wasn't an endless party going on as in some hostels.   In my opinion this Hostel is very good.;).I spend great time there.;).They have nice staff who can help you to find something what you need.Good Wi-Fi, clean room.Near Hostel is shop where you can buy almost everything.After my check out I could stay and wait for my bus to the aiport.That is direct conection to the aiport by bus 615 or 620.Thank y... wat mensen zeggen » ou - all staff ( not only reception ) for everything.Kiitos.;). - I have never stayed at hostel before cheapsleep, that is why I can not compare it with any other hostel, but my overall experience was great, nice clean a bit noisy hostel, but if you there for ice hockey as a fan you dont really care about noise. I had the pleasure of meeting Oliver(manager) who was great!!! Great location to get to Hartwall Arena, 15 min walk, or tram 7B(7min)

  The people are really kind here! It helps me alot!! And it's really calm here, it's not too far from the bus or the tram, so the translation is really convenient, and there's also a supermarket at down stair, so it's quite convenient for buying things to cook. I forgot the things in the room, we had to return in hosted, of course, codes any more didn't work, but to me kindly opened a door! Thanks!
