  I stayed in a triple bed accomodation with private bathroom, so they offered modern and young design, in an excellent location, nice breakfast, comfortable room, nice closet and and clean bathroom.   Location couldn't be beat--lovely historic street from 1928, close to red line Metro, safe at night. Charming B&B. Hosts Ignacio & Gladys were very kind & extremely accomodating.   The staff, mostly young, smiling, helpful Chilenas (women) could not have been more welcoming...The beds were comfortable and new, the bed linens of good quality...excellent location in a peaceful residential neighborhood in the heart of Santiago, a 10-15 minute walk from two Metro stations... There is a Lider grocery store a block away and severa... wat mensen zeggen » l restaurants on surrounding blocks...each room has its own gas or electric heater for the winter (when I was there), and a fan for the summer - Has a distinctive identity and stands out, in a quiet, safe and lovely neighborhood. Can walk to most of the places of interest and spots in town, if one has the aptitude. Almenas is a nice cosy home/hostel, comfortable place to sleep in and a clean complete private bath (have to opt for it though). The staff is professional and courteous. And yes, Wi-fi is available and works very well. Breakfast was simple but sufficient as one would eat at home.

  Location right in the heart of the old part ,murals everywhere ,small resturants run by local people for local people .Out the door and turn left and you end up in the city turn right and left and you are in old town shjopping mainly cloths and jewellery .turn left and left and cross and there is a little shop for bread water (aqua sin gas ,,gas ... wat mensen zeggen » free )ham etc.Inside and you are transformed into an old Chilean house ,all wood (hence the noisy ) atmosphere and ambiance .I had a single room ,comf - Excellent staff, very helpful and caring. Location is good and beds are very comfortable. Nice common room with small library and films. I would definitely stay here if I visit Santiago again!

  The staff really made my trip. I came here a week early before a teaching program began to do some travelling and their were incredibly friendly, informative, and kind. This hostel is perfect for younger travelers looking to see Santiago on a budget. - The staff were friendly and helpful, the room clean and tidy with comfortable beds.   If you are going to Santiago I highly recomend staying here. I started my 5 month trip in south america here, and by the returned here again for another week in santiago before I left. The staff are amazing especially the kitchen staff and cleaner Lita, always preparing a beautiful breakfast and has great energy, full of bubles, always had me smili... wat mensen zeggen » ng, also catalina and mi, on reception were always helpful with anything we needed, you will even see the owner Ari around everyday who is always very - The staff was really friendly. Because I wasn't able to have femile dorm they upgrated me to a private room for three nights. Thank you! Staff also was happy to tell you about tours and other things which helped me.
