I was expecting a two star hotel but I was pleasantly surprised. Maybe in relation to its luxury neighbouring hotel it is a 2 star but in my experience this hotel would be at least a 3 star. It's over 180 years old but you would never know it based on how immaculately clean it is. I would recommend this hotel over any generic Hilton or other international hotel any day. You can't ask for a better location in Quebec City. Last, the staff were wonderful and the service was amazing; it is so refre. alle beoordelingen »
My flight was delayed and I arrived very late and the hotel staff was
kind enough to stay up and wait for me to arrive, then carried my 38 lb
bag up three flights of stairs to my room. The following day after I
checked out the staff allowed me to leave my bags at the hotel while I
shopped and had lunch, then called a cab to take me to the cruise port.
Everyone was extremely nice and helpful and I enjoyed my stay and hope
to return for another stay in the future.
The location right next to the Chateau Frontenac and other Old Quebec attractions was perfect. While this hotel is not the fanciest you'll find in the area, it is still graced with that Old Quebec charm. Our room was basic though definitely well suited to our needs. It was economical, comfortable, very clean and friendly. The reasonable rates allowed us to spend more money on other things during our trip. We would definitely stay here again.
Great location right next to the Chateau Frontenac but without the Chateau's prices. Lovely staff. Bargain price for a suite. Great views over the St. Lawrence. We have stayed at this hotel intermittently over thirty years and have always been pleased.
Location was excellent, overlooking the river. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
Great prime location. VG value breakfast. Really friendly staff.
Location,helpful host.
Great location.
The location was unbeatable - views of the St Lawrence, proximity to the
Old Town, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, age and history
of the building, it's very 'frenchness'.
The hotel is in a good localization. The price is reasonable and it has a good cleaning. The building is historic (it has 180 years) and it has a good maintenance..
Excellent location ...could walk everywhere.
The receptionist and location.
Location was ok.
Our room didn't have a great view (room 7) but that was expected because we booked the last room available for Thanksgiving weekend. The room itself was still lovely though.
I did not have enough time to truly enjoy the hotel.
The wireless internet in the hotel was inconsistent. However, this was really only a minor inconvenience for us.
Nothing that we can think of.
No elevator, small room and wifi was problematic. Small TV and no hairdryer. No tea making facility in the room.
Accomodations a little old.
If I was to be picky, then no lift could have been a problem if the
staff hadn't helped with luggage up to the room. Also, the room (12)
was a little on the cramped side, but as we hadn't expected large
spaces and the price is very reasonable, then no real complaints.
I had problems with internet access. The hotel does not have ascensor, which complicate the access for people with reduced mobility (or have many luggage), particularly to the last two floors.
Lack of plugins..only one in our small room available on a power bar by the tv.... Had to use it for hair dryer as none in bathroom . Window air conditioner noisy.
had to carry our lugage up three flights of stairs.
My room had an a/c portable unit that took up most of the floor
space, the window would not close and I had a man looking in my window
early in the morning from their private courtyard. Towels hard to get.
Staff not too helpful... The electric fuse blew when I used the
hairdryer and was told not to use it...on and on..... Ugh!.
