Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. Staff were helpful. Lovely outlook over banyan trees and sweet night twitterings emanated from the birds nesting in the banyans as we slept. Great location for Volcanoes National Park and Rainbow Falls and Akaka Falls. We did all 3 in one day. Beautiful walk in the gardens opposite the hotel.

The hotel doesn't get very good reviews so we were a little
skeptical about staying here. We were surprised to find the hotel
clean, comfortable, in a great location (wished we had booked for
2 days instead of 1),staff was very friendly and the renovations
were beautiful. Breakfast buffet was very well done. Free parking
was a bonus!

The view from the ocean side rooms was spectacular. The check in staff (Wendy) did a great job checking us in with a long line, she was very friendly and helpful. The room was remodeled and very bright and cheery, the white bedding was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We made the decision to stay over in Hilo at the last minute and i

- Nice ocean-view corner room with wrapping balcony
- Clean, well-maintained, quiet room
- Good location to the airport, town, and access to roads out of town (especially to volcanoes)
- Ample parking
- We'd seen a fair number of negative reviews, but are very glad we tried the hotel anyway; had no issues

The staff was really helpful when the door keys they gave us did not work and sent up someone who had to go and get special equipment to clear out the lock so it would take the key. This was just a I have just got off the airplane late at night and am leaving for elsewhere the next morning destination so we did not look to see anything in the area

Lovely location, with both pool and beach. Lots of shopping, and food
variety within easy walking distance. Extreemly friendly staff.
Accomodated us well the last day, with parking and beach towels, as our
plane was very late to leave.

We love the location - close to the downtown, which we walk to for
shopping, dining, etc. We especially enjoy sitting near the ocean
watching the breakers crash onto the lava rock. The bar is fun, and the

We liked the location it was ideal for access to shops, restaurants and trolley bus which takes you all round the area, it is also nicely situated on the beach with it's own lagoon.the restaurant and bar are also situated overlooking the sea which is really nice while dining especially as the sun is setting.
