  The facility is maintained very well. I'm a contractor, so I notice how well the finish work is completed and maintained. There were no areas where paint was peeling, stucco chipping or loose tiles. You could see how much pride management and staff have in their jobs.   Staff was friendly and very helpful. Very convenient luggage hold for guests arriving before check-in. Loved the unique floor-plan of the "courtyard". Narrow halls with steps gave it a Paris-like feel. The room was tastefully decorated with King size bed. Decent shower head. - Great staff, very helpful, pleasant setting

  At the spur of the moment, my wife and I were looking for a place to stay in Catalina. We found the best deal at the Hermosa through the internet. We weren’t expecting the Ritz. The Hermosa is an historic hotel. That means it’s been around a while. We stayed in one of the cottages. It was very small but charming. Joseph checked us in and took good care of us - Comfortable beds. Wonderful extras. There's a room by the lobby for microwaving and eating, and extra showers and bathroom for us to use after we had to check out of our private room. It felt like a friendly youth hostel, taking care of our needs. Storage room for our baggage until we got on the boat home. VERY HELPFUL!
