Room was very nice, as were the staff. We were only a mile from Gettysburg, so the location was great. Nice continental breakfast. Also, fresh coffee was available in the lobby at all times. Also offered free shuttle service into Gettysburg if needed. Perkins restaurant right next door, within walking distance; we ate there for lunch one day. - R... cosa dice la gente » oom was large even with two queen beds. Staff was friendly and quite helpful. Motel was easy to find and on a direct route to the center of town. Several restaurants were nearby as was Walmart and a shopping center. Being the off-season, the price was quite reasonable. I was very pleased with my stay at the Gettysburg Days Inn.

We were looking for a quiet getaway for the long July 4 weekend, and that's exactly what we got. We stayed in the lodge itself (there are also cottages with more amenities, which cost more), and had a clean, comfortable room. There was a hiking trail onsite that we enjoyed, and big pool that seemed empty most of the time. The lodge has obviousl... cosa dice la gente » y been around since at least the 1950s, and has retained that mid-20th century charm, including an owner who walks around during the (free) breakfast - The owner and the staff were extremely nice and friendly. When the owner found out that I have cancer and my husband has a back injury, he offered to upgrade us to a cottage so that we wouldn't have to climb the stairs. He also had a breakfast tray brought up to my husband. The room was very comfortable, and the lodge and its grounds are beautiful. We hope to go back during the summer so we can use the pool.
