  It was our first time with my friend in New York and the hotel was perfect for us as it was 10 minutes walk to time square. We would walk easily from time square to the hotel after 12am. The room was small but we loved that it was perfectly clean. We enjoyed the hot breakfast especially the cheese - The room was confortable, the matress, pillows and sheets were perfect. Well maintained, all furniture, carpets, wallpaper, courtains, bathroom, lamps were in good condition. It wasn't noisy or at least it was not a problem for me (I was on floor 11) The WiFi is high speed and, at least in my room, the coverage was perfect. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely go back there on a next trip to NYC.

  The quietness. Like a retreat. Great food. - Staff were courteous and efficient. Checked in early but no rooms were available, they said they would call me when I could go to the room. They did. The room I got I didn't like (close to elevator door and TV not straight in from of bed). They upgraded me to quieter corner room.

I found the Pearl based on two criteria -- it was not as expensive as some of the other hotels and it was highly ranked by both travelers and star ratings. I would like to specially mention and thank Trinita, who checked me in much earlier that she was supposed to. The location is fabulous. 3 minutes to Grand Central Station and about 10 minutes to Macys. I love this hotel so much that I'm going back in 3 weeks to stay for a week!!!

  Everything! We especially loved the bunk room set up! We traveled with two parents and two adult boys 18 & 20. We all wanted to stay in the same room but a typical 2 double bed set up in most hotels would not have worked and having two rooms in a typical hotel would have meant us being apart and would have extremely expensive.
