Since is it on Lombard street we were happy that they had onsite parking, instead of having to park on the busy street.   Everything was excellent! I have stayed in hotels price much higher that were no where near as nice as this one! It wasn't a luxury hotel of course, but as a home base for a city trip I couldn't ask for more. This is a funky old art deco style motor hotel that is maintained to accommodate budget travelers-don't expect valet parking, or luxury amenities, but do enjoy the no frills quick check in, working ice/pop machines, in room coffee, and cable tv. And they have smoking rooms if you are so inclined.

  I'm not sure why this hotel doesn't get better reviews. My girlfriend and I stayed for two days and had a great experience. The staff was friendly, the location was great, room was clean and updated. We stayed in room 404, which I highly recommend. Good continental breakfast, with fresh fruit, pastries, and bagels, bread, preserves etc. Great location for walking to Fishermans Wharf etc, or the great value bus into the city.

  I always stay here when in San Francisco. It's a great location and I always feel safe and comfortable. There's breakfast and the staff is very nice. You can't beat the price either. - We have always loved this location. The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was satisfying and the staff helpful. We would definitely return.
