  I like the style, frankly the ' class ' that The Carlyle and that the staff exude. I stayed many times at The Carlyle in the 1980's early 90s, indeed had my wedding there in 1998. I haven't been at all since for no negative reason but simply professionally I no longer visit NY, but expect to privately will do periodically going fwd.   Very friendly and extremely helpful staff. Fantastic location. Very nice room. Very well kept and looked after while we were there. Never felt intruded upon by house keeping. They came in while we were out. We always had fresh bath linens and the room was always spotless. Everyone at the hotel, door men, concierge, front desk, bell hops, security,... cosa dice la gente » house keeping staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. We visited two other hotels in the area were relatives and friends were staying. Both we - Everything....professional and attentive service to all sorts of personal touches to make you feel "special" to the point you forget how much you are paying for these features :)
