We had an upper floor room overlooking the mountains and ski slopes... great view. The rooms were clean and had a fireplace. It was nicer than most apartments I have seen before. We have been looking for a place in gatlinburg for a weekend retreat and believe we have found one. We are looking forward to staying there again. It is only a 5 min drive down the mountain to the main stretch of gatlinburg. It has an indoor and outdoor pool, which we didn't take advantage of...maybe next time.
tutti gli commenti dei clienti » We saw a bear within 30 minutes of arrival. Private with beautiful scenery. We stayed in the studio loft with 3 adults and 4 kids, 10,10,13 &13, Very relaxing. We would stay here again. The views were amazing from the top of the mountain. The room had plenty of space, was cozy and well maintained. We loved using the fireplace. every thing was wonderful price a little bit higher then I normal pay but I love the place and staff wonderful. everything we needed was right there. just like home. pots,pans,towels,etc. room for everyone. I really liked the location. I could really get away, but still be close to any entertainment. Quiet, not much parking lot traffic, more than what we expected for our money. Beautiful views. our condo was very comfortable, spacious and quiet. The view! The hot tub and pool, the room was cozy and felt like home. The view was breath taking. Plan to stay here again in the future. The views and the feeling of home. loved the quiet and privacee. everything !!!!!. Everything. Everything. We saw a bear around 8 pm at the outside pool and got a few pictures so we went to the indoor pool. On the way back to our apartment around 11pm the bear was back and in our friends car ...who had left their window down.. we got some even better pics then but then I was confronted by the bear who does not like cameras!... After a few intense minutes I scared him off... luckily he wasn't too big of a bear but that experience was worth every penny! So don't leave your windows down or leave small. The veiws were fantastic! The condo was nice, but had an odor. It was quite It was a nice clean facility The view was awesome. Loved the views. Room was cute. Nice and quite. When booking I thought the price was great and the pictures/descriptions made it sound like a great deal. Also, the views were great and the drive up and down the mountain was fun. My kids had a great time so that's what matters most. The view was amazing. View. Pool. View was okay. Pool was okay. No elevators, so packing a 7 month old baby up three flights of stairs was a burden. Haha. We had a room with a loft, but it only has a sky light. It would have been nice to have a view of the mountains from there but wasn't really a big deal. It has a kitchen which I cooked in and it doesn't have a good prep area. The only counter in it has a very large sink right in the middle of it leaving only about a foot to either side of it to actually prepare food. Again it wasn't a huge issue. The road up the mountain was a little scary after dark. However the drive was well worth the sights. The website for the Summit was not very easy to use, so we did not know what was included in the room. Luckily I brought my own shampoo, soap, hair dryer etc. Also, it is not easily accessible to restaurants or grocery stores, so bring food with you (especially if it is snowing!). Price a little high. I didn't like the fact the dishwasher didn't work. Too much chlorine in pool, eyes burned. The beds were hard, but I know some people prefer that-I'm just used to a soft bed. Taking luggage up 3 flights of stairs. walking up the stairs. the pizza never did deliver to us after calling several times. didn't get to see any wild bears on the mountain ;(. Nothing. Sauna took several hours to heat up so have it turned on in the morning if you want to use it by 4pm...you may have to ask the front desk to turn it on. very small pools.. great for kids, not adults..but two indoor jacuzzi's was a plus. There was also a shaving razor, a pair of pants and a shirt under one bed upon check-in in one of our rooms. The road to the top of tshe mountain, it was narrow and curvey. Too far away from town. The road to hotel was scary. Would not drive it after dark. Hotel page said iron and hair dryer in rooms and there was none. When I asked I was told it was up to the people that own it to supply those. But it was on the hotels website that they were supplied. Staff was not very friendly. Veiw from the room was a tree, couldn't see the mountains. People drinking liquour,and bottles of wine at the pool. pools not as big as the pictures make it look. The room, and hallways, were dirty and in need of repairs, updates, and paint. The staff made you feel like you were bothering them whenever you had questions, concerns, or needed to exchange towels/linens. Staff was not very friendly. was hard to get there for being a first time. Room wasnt that clea. pull out sofa was broken. All furnishings were very outdated. Uncomfortable beds. Sleeper sofa was broken. Kids had to sleep on the floor. Lay out of condo was not what we had paid for. Paper thin walls. No hair drier, not even at the front desk. Staff were unable to assist with problems. We thought the one bedroom condo we booked should be one bedroom and a living room, but it was actually a studio. Besides, the first room they gave to us is dirty, smells bad, damp, broken window blinds and the covers, sheets and blankets of the bed were dirty and old. Though the room they changed for us was better, considering money value of ~$120/night, it was not worth it. We had to change rooms 3 different times because things weren't right. All the rooms we saw were so out dated & old. Our room smelled. Overall it was a waste of $250!.
