The staff was very helpful. The Jackalope Bar and Grill has great food , and the meals are tastefully presented! The tomato basil soup is delicious!

The spa personnel were wonderful, ambience perfect. However the uniform for the female staff rustles and ruins the tranquility of the massage.
Mattress pad cover was not properly placed, so we needed to remake the bed. Our front desk girl was not very friendly. We were celebrating birthdays with an "expensive" dinner at embers and it was not acknowledged. Concierge gal gave us wrong dress code information for the embers.

Being located just outside the south entrance to Yosemite National Park. The outstanding natural beauty of the area which makes it a great taster for what is to come when venturing into the park.

Policy on check-out. We had to leave earlier than expected due to family obilgations. Had to pay for extra day that we had booked - not foreseeing that we would have to leave early. Desk said no exceptions and we had to pay for all days booked - no exceptions allowed. great trip and experience except for this.
The staff was excellent and provided help with a issues; especially with local hikes and where to visit. The bus tour of Yosemite Park was super. Glenn, the driver/guide was very good.
The food seemed to be priced on the high side. We think there should be a wider menu and better quality of sandwiches; the roast turkey was of lunch meat quality...
We enjoyed very much the large lobby room with the high vaulted ceilings and big fireplace and very confortable chairs. Breakfast in the dining room was very pleasant. We had snow outside our window which was a wonderful treat for us. The weather was stunning when we were there. And there were no crowds. A perfect way to enjoy the hotel.
The food at dinne time was a big disapointment. The ambiance was wonderful so kind of made it ok. We later learned that better food is available in the bar/bistro. We had been there before and we definitely be again next fall.
Employees are friendly and make you feel at home Location between the trees. Décor is excellent very good food at the restaurant.
Loved the beds with oh so comfie mattresses, the indoor pool and the super buffet breakfast!

Rustic ambiance, large spaces
Distant to much of the national Park.
Given its splendid location we feared Tenaya Lodge would be self-important but it turned out very well with helpful, cheerful staff and good facilities. We intended to visit Yosemite National Park but the Federal closure meant that we had to find other attractions, which were many in "South Sierra". Tenaya Lodge is a location far less dependent upon Yosemite than might be thought. Nice touches like the fire pits.

We had excellent staff at the restaurant. The rooms were large and well appointed. The lobby was beautifully decorated and gave the feel of a luxury mountain retreat. The gardens were very pretty and well tended. Overall, a very positive experience.
Last word in luxury! location is brilliant, just on the edge of Yosemite and very near Bass Lake for watersports. Staff couldn't do enough for you and concierges were very knoweldgeable and helped us plan our activities

The feel was great - a real Lodge feel and a nice compliment to the Yosemite environment. There spa was also fantastic - some of the best massages I've had. They also had many activities planned during the day (like archery) that I could see being fun for families
Internet is horribly slow - don't pay for it! A bit overpriced, but for Yosemite in the summer, you should expect that. : )

Very close to south entrance of yosemity(about 2 -miles). Its pricey but Its worth it. Very clean rooms, and actually smelled really good, spacious, clean bathrooms and has everything; good restaurants, deli, and souvenir shop.also,friendly staff, nice heated pool.

I left an expensive purse in the closet at checkout. I had taken the wallet out to use another purse, but my employment ID badge and a few other valuables were still in the purse. The purse itself was a gift from my husband only this past Christmas so it had value to me beyond its price. I didn't notice it missing until almost 24 hours after our check-out. I called back to the manager on duty and had to leave a message on the phone for him to find my purse and have it ready for me to pick up by 1pm. I'm sure it wasn't the friendliest message he's ever received. In fact, I have never stayed at a hotel that could return any item I may have left behind. The integrity of the housekeeping staff seems never to be a priority in many hotels. Nevertheless, after enjoying a morning of brunch at the Awhanee and a bike ride through Yosemite Valley, my husband and I drove back to Tenaya on our way home to the bay area. The manager on duty wasn't available, but the senior restaurant manager was and she called him right away. She was very courteous and sympathetic. She said the manager was off site at the cottages but would return shortly and recommended I take a seat in the lobby, which I did. I expected the manager's return to take some time; however, he returned within 10 minutes, maybe less, with my purse in hand. The contents intact. I could not express my gratitude enough, this was not just the return of a purse and contents, which is important in itself. The return expressed to me a level of integrity and courtesy I have never seen at any hotel. Please pass along my sincere thanks and respect to the housekeeping staff who cleaned room 474 on June 1, the Senior Restaurant Manager, and the Manager on Duty on June 2. I hope they know that the level of integrity and courtesy shown to me that day was impressive. It should be the standard, but unfortunately in today's world it often is not. You have an outstanding staff.

The prices for sandwiches and coffee in the lobby cafe was well over priced 10$ for a sandwich?? All outside hotels/cafes were less then 6$ even inside Yosemite!

It was quite loud. I could hear the room above me, beside me and people in the hallway. Being an hour from the Park floor was inconvenient.
Large rooms and the hotel itself is well planned and is in a fantastic location.
Very expensive. Nothing is free at this resort. Also, the service at the restaurant was very slow. We were seated at at Embers restaurant and it took half an hour just to get a drink. However, the food was delicious. Also had no hot water one morning and when reported to the front desk, they seemed disinterested.

The location is conveniently close to the southern entrance to Yosemite. The staff was accommodating to both ourselves and our children and grandchildren.
The lodge is not close to off-site restaurants and guests end up eating at the Lodge where the food is only fair and VERY expensive. The outdoor pool could be larger.

There were never any parking spaces available when returning back late at night. Guests should be guaranteed spaces. Restaurants were also very busy so had to wait every night to be seated. Location seems good but about 45 minutes from Yosemite Valley everyday before starting your adventure. Worth paying extra to stay at the Lodge.
