While checking- in, the friendly desk clerk visited with my chatty 5year
old- The hotel serves cookies in shared hotel space from 5-7pm. This
young realized my kids have been in the car for hours, offered to go in
back and get some warm chocolate chip cookies (& extra so she could
share with siblings) Nice touch. Easy upgrade to suite for our

I am a regular customer of the Hearthland Inn. I stay there each time I visit Iowa City. The accomodations are clean and convenient and it's great to have both a mini-fridge and a microwave in the room. The breakfast area is well-stocked and welcoming. The staff and friendly and helpful.

The desk clerk was extremely helpful and engaged upon arrival. She was proactive and thinking ahead about guests and the bad weather. She seemed interested to know that my tub had a loud drip.
Best value for money on a cross-country 6-night trip. -
