  We love the friendly atmosphere and the references to early Hollywood films and actors! The staff were all friendly and very responsive to our needs and requests. When we needed anything, such as a bathmat or the sink unclogged, they were there immediately!   For the money, it was a really nice hotel. The outdoor lighting at nice was so nice. It was close to Ventura Blvd, freeways and shopping. We also received a discount for eating at the Dennys on-site. They were very nice staff who were very helpful with our early check in and the paperwork was a breeze. Manager Steven was the crowning jewel amongst the staff - 1. We initially booked the deluxe double room however it was quite cramp and small. Connected to Hollywood/Highland Centre (one of the best spots to view the Hollywood sign) and right next to the Hollywood/Highland Red Line metro station. One metro stop from Universal City and a very short walk to the star walk, TCL theatre etc
