  This is my second stay at the Aurora (first was August 2012). Still great value, very nice staff, excellent breakfast, and nice rooms. As a result of Ukrainian policy I think public area smoking has decreased and thus the lobby is not quite as filled with the stench of cigarette smoke so that is good.   The hotel seemed like new. Rooms were large Western style with nice bathrooms and very clean. We traveled to Kiev, Kharkov, and Odessa and this was the best accommodations that we had the entire trip. The cost was reasonable and compared to the other places, a very good value. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We arrived early morning on th... cosa dice la gente » e overnight train and weren't supposed to check in for about 4-5 hours but the desk clerk allowed us to check in about 8 in the morning. It was great - The service and attitude of staff was excellent. Breakfast, for me, was a particular high point being a British style buffet.
