A family-run guest house and pub in tranquil surroundings, a 20-minute drive from King’s Lynn, The Anchor Inn offers traditional food, regular entertainment, free Wi-Fi and free parking. Each bedroom comes with an en suite shower room as well as a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Washing can be done upon request at an extra cost. The pub has a games room and hosts its own Individual Pool League on Monday and Tuesdays, and poker nights on Wednesdays. The restaurant is open everyday until 20:30. Situated in the picturesque country village of Sutton Bridge, home to the famous Crosskeys Bridge, The Anchor Inn is only 2 miles from The Butterfly and Wildlife Park.

The facilities were lovely and it was immaculately clean. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing and we even had an evening meal which was delicious and real good value for money. We were amazed, best place we stayed in for a while. And staying there again in a month or so. Lovely pool table and free bouncy castle ( only disappointment that I'm prop a little too old to use it now!).

A most excellent breakfast was served. Can be recommended. The food was excellent. We had dinner and breakfast at the inn and both meals were very good. The beer was local & fresh - Bateman's - which is important to my husband!. I was using the hotel on a business trip but I would also have been happy to stay on a personal trip too. Extremely friendly staff, comfortable room and good food. A well located friendly pub which is good value for money and has good food as well with a very good cooked breakfast(also provided veggie sausages for one of us). We arrived a little early for the 18.00hr check-in but were allowed to check in anyway. Breakfast was fantastic, would definately stay at the Anchor Inn again. exceptionally welcoming and every need was met. Spotlessly clean, bed comfortable and shower worked well. will definitely stay there again if in that area. being treated so well by everyone.Food was excellent,Staff friendly and helpful. would recommend this Inn to anyone wanting a break away. lovely comfy room, very welcoming with good evening meal and great breakfast!! also loved the little "cow" milk jug!!!!!!!. Very friendly, food very nice, we were asked if would like to change our room, because a band was playing that evening & our room was above where the band was playing, we were moved to an annexe over the road to the Anchor. The cleaning of rooms starting at 5:30 am - someone was stomping up and down the corridor and banging doors. Nothing. On a fairly busy through road but it was quiet when we were there because it was bank holiday weekend. They did not open until 6.00pm. Wasnt told anything . just given keys when we arrived. Came down to breakfast at 9.50 and was told that we had missed it . they have a 10am cut off. They did cook us a sandwich also they took our money 3 weeks prior to arrival. The central bulb in my room had gone - apparently a previous occupant had yanked it out and in so doing had broken the socket. They promised they would mend it for the following night but were not able to do so - being bank holiday weekend. They offered me a drink in lieu which was fair enough.. The water coming out of the taps was a bit fierce and I had difficulty shutting them off. I told them this at the end and they promised to look at it. Packet or frozen starters on main meal, lack of knowledge on presentation on main meal, E.g steak chips and salad with peppercorn sauce with coleslaw ! Onion rings!! Food sauces vinegars etc left on tables. Typical pub type presentation which could be great with a little more knowledge. There was nothing I didn't like. The busy road but that's not the anchors fault. I booked a single room which had a double bed - fine, but made the room a little cramped. Nothing. nothing, could,nt fault it, excellent value for money. Music can be loud. Room a little on the small side. ALSO slightly worried when I arrived at the Anchor to find that they had NOT received my booking. Luckily they had a spare room. Could'nt sit back in bed and watch tv. Signal on tv lost at times.Very small wash basin. Wi fi little week in the rooms. Music can be heard above the pub area. Noisy while the pub was open. No dislikes. the room was a bit cold and couldn't turn the thermostat up any further. bedroom far to hot could not open window. Music was loud and for longer than told... nothing. on a busy road so ask for a rear room. 2A.M. on Sunday morning we were woken by noisy neighbours, screaming and arguing, which carried on thru to the early hours, during our breakfast we was asked by the owners Mother "if we slept well" so we told her the situation, she was horrified, when it came to payment she would not take our money, which we really didn't want, but she insisted, you don't get many people like that today! Our breakfast was great, we just could not fault the hospitality. The room was on the street-side, and it was pretty noisy until the late evening, the doors were self-closing, so there were a lot of banging as guests were coming and going. Top rooms very small. Bed not long enough if you over 5ft 9inches.
