  Lovely setting. Excellent communications when I had reason to contact the hotel directly. The recently refurbished rooms and restaurant were a real treat and the food was yummy. We booked some time ago and the new owners honoured our booking price which made our trip the bargain of the Century.   The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. We weren't expecting breakfast to be included, so were pleasantly surprised to find a continental breakfast delivered to the room as well as milk, water butter and jam (for the coissants) already in the fridge. We had our small son with us and he was provided with crayons and a colouring chart which was very thoughtful and provi - Amy gave us an excellent welcome on arrival. the room was extremely clean and comfortable. since we were leaving early the next day, the staff brought over many food items for us to be able to have some breakfast before leaving. the food at the for and hound is very well priced and of very good quality. The room given to visitors are at the back of the Fox and Hound proper so the place is extremely quite. I must emphasis that the staff go out of the way to make your stay enjoyable and comf
