Spacious rooms (they did not have a twin room left so they gave us two
doubles off the bat. It was a busy night and they were full. Other
places would have tried to put us in 1 double and waited to see if we
squawked). I had a lovely room with a fireplace. Bed was comfortable.

The George was very convenient to the dockside attractions, as well as
to restaurants and shopping. I only stayed one night, but the room was
spacious, with a large comfortable bed, a very nice ensuite bathroom,
and other amenities one would expect, like tea/coffee and tv. The
decor was a charming combination of rustic and traditional (I admit I
loved the beamed ceiling!), and the large windows offered plenty of
fresh air. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, and the owners were very
quick to ass

A great short stay Pub (Was there 1 night). I was in an attic room (quite a lot of steps so beware if you have problems in that area), which, though not huge was immaculately clean and well presented , no frills so to speak (No frills price for such a well situated establishment on a Friday night), and it did have the all importatant tea/coffee fa

Being an older building, rather than a modern modular prefab, the rooms are all different from each other so it can be a little 'luck of the draw' as to what you get. This was my third visit and by far the best room yet. A double room with plenty of space and a big shower. Tea & coffee are provided in the room which is excellent for this price. The hotel is walking distance from the beach, Old Portsmouth, Gunwharf Quays and the Historic Dockyard so it's very convenient for sightseeing, shop
