  We loved the whole experience and everything about the place. It was fantastic for the kids who got to play safely and explore their environment. The staff (Gillian and Michael) who run the place were not intrusive but attentive when you asked anything of them. They just seemed to be so hard working at making everyone's stay as good as it could... cosa dice la gente » possibly be. The Lodge itself was outstanding, fully equipped and I've been to many 'self catering apartments' and never had the basics; this had a - Michael was very helpful (as the larger lodge we originally booked had been double booked, Michael sorted this to our advantage) so we got 2 lodges. Some of us slept in 1 & we cooked & partied in the other (there were 10 of us...6 adults & 4 children) Communication very good, email sent with directions for getting there...& info on activities available. Wakening up to the view of the lake & the Bunnies playing in the garden each morning was lovely. Very peaceful & relax

  From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome by all staff at the front of house. Even though they heavily booked we were upgraded to a lake view room that was simply beautiful. The entire hotel was splendid and kept in immaculate order. There were two bars available, one with live music the other was more of a cocktail bar. The location of the hotel meant that we could travel on day trips to many parts of I - We loved the hotel and all of the amenities that it had to offer. Wish we could have stayed on a night or two longer. Had a problem with a staff member in the basement bar, but once addressed with the Manager, he made up for the disappointment we felt and was extremely considerate. I would highly recommend this property. It is lovely!

  The most pleasant and helpfull receptionists and staff we have ever met. Beautiful comortable and clean room.   My husband and I booked a suite (room 8). Nicely decorated and comfortable. We were very impressed.The staff were warm and friendly.   Mahons hotel was a lovely family run hotel in quiet irvinestown. I stayed there with my mother for a night. We ate in the bar and the menu was very extensive and I ordered the steak and my mother had loin of pork. Both were absolutely beautiful and the portion was quite big. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mahons Hotel to - We arrived on Monday afternoon for a 3 night stay to a very warm welcome when checking in. The lady told us all we needed to know about the hotel. Our room was both spacious & immaculate and the bed was huge and comfortable. We ate every day at the hotel as there was a great choice of food and it was full of flavour, portions were generous and it was very reasonably priced. The hotel has a lovely warm family feel and the owner Joe and his staff are exceptional. Cant wait to visit again than

  Very friendly and helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. Able to arrange boat hire from marina just after breakfast very relaxing. - We were a group of friends celebrating a birthday and The Boathouse was perfect for 8 of us. Plenty of room and very comfortable!
