  Clean, traditional, family run Hotel, pleasant friendly staff, very clean average size rooms traditionally furnished, good value for money would stay again - cant fault this place one bit, it was pure luxury, and the place is beautiful, will be going back again and again.

  I booked a one week stay, B&B in a single room hoping for a relaxing holiday after a busy few months at work. On arrival check in was easy and very friendly. Then came the part I had dreaded. (As a single traveller, on occasions rooms elsewhere have been little more than a broom cupboard with a view of the bins...!).   I stated at the heritage sept 23rd for 3 nights.All the staff where very helpful & polite especially the breakfast waiter(he was as good as any tourist info center)!The views where fantastic.My room was spotless on arrival,as was the whole hotel.The pool was lovely to relax in.The bar is lively,but as a solo traveller it was just what I wanted... cosa dice la gente » .They even put FREE hot food on the bar during one of the matches.Simple things,but they cared about their customers.If you prefer a lifeless quiet ba - The location was ideal for what we needed i.e. searching for a holiday apartment in the Torbay area. The room was good sized, comfortable and spotlessly clean. I think we had a recently refurbished shower room which was very smart. We had a magnificent view of Torbay across to Brixham.   After 3 days in hot London...the Merlin Court Hotel was a breath of fresh air...and what a find.   That was quite strange experience to stay here. The building looks old but landmark of near the top of the hill over Woolacombe. The room is quite old and shabby as expected. However, the room is quite huge I reserved double bed and they provide a double room with a same size extra room with a single bed. Everything is old but feeling history. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable when we asked for advice on places to visit. The room was clean and tidy with white sheets and the bed was very comfortable. The Hotel had a lot of character and the view from the balcony was amazing. We will be visiting this hotel again.
