The Artist Residence is a cosy and lovely hotel. Rooms are comfortable, clean, full of details and nice decorated (each room by a different artist). Breakfast is excellent and staff is really helpful and efficient. Its location - in a quiet street - is excellent for those using public transports, as the hotel is close to the railway and bus station. Very good value for money.

Loved the location - right on the beach easy 3-5 minute walk into town. Staff was extremely friendly. Beach house was comfy and roomy and decorated as a beach house not uptight hotel. Office recommended horse back riding that was cheap n fun - they rented movies also for free which was nice.

Loved the way it was equipped - it had everything we wanted, including wi-fi (essential if you want to book tickets to an attraction, for example, or to see photos of somewhere you might visit) and tv / dvd. This light and airy apartment was really clean and comfortable. There was a sense of generosity and being cared for; the complimentary toiletries, plenty of soft towels and a cream tea to welcome us. We arrived hours before the check in time but having access to the apartment early was no problem. It all felt very relaxed and easy.

All the contact we've had with Sally and James has been really helpful and friendly. Everything, the apartment was beautifully fitted, the kitchen had everything you needed if you were choosing to self cater. Good size, lovely and warm, spotless and with well tended communal areas. In all a great place to say. We will certainly return. Milk, orange juice, cereals etc were an added bonus.
