Set in the South Downs National Park, the Badgers Inn is just a 5-minute drive from Petworth village. Fresh, local produce is served in the restaurant which specialises in shellfish during the summer and game in the winter. Local wine and real ales are served in the cosy bar which features deep red ceilings and traditional wooden furniture. A log-fire in the lounge provides a warm room in which guests can relax on the large leather sofa. An elegant decor features in all rooms, which also include a flat-screen TV with DVD player and a hairdryer. A selection of toiletries is included in each tiled private bathroom. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the Badger Inn. Petworth House, set in 700 acres of parkland, is 10 minutes’ drive away. Free parking is possible on-site and Cowdray Golf Club is a 15-minute drive away. Goodwood Circuit and Goodwood Racecourse are within 20 minutes’ drive.

We stayed here with my parents and had a wonderful time. The rooms were lovely, the staff were friendly, and the food/drinks were excellent value. The location was perfect for us - close enough to Petworth that you could drive in quickly, and there was plenty of parking space. The open fire and sofas were a treat on a November night. My husband accidentally left his jumper behind but the staff kindly posted it - many thanks for that!.
tutti gli commenti dei clienti » The whole atmosphere of the Inn was one of friendliness you felt welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. the food was fantastic and especially the seafood range, prices were very reasonable and the rooms where decorative and pleasant bathrooms fantastic there were little touches which even some large hotels forget. Altogether a very good experience. the staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming and really made us feel relaxed. The rooms were extremely cosy, comfortable and very clean. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed staying at a popular pub which was an ideal location for us to visit Petworth and Chichester and enjoy a lengthy country walk in the beautiful West Sussex countryside. Superb!. My fiancé and I had a wonderful time here. We were staying in the area to attend a friend's wedding and I couldn't be more pleased that we chose The Badger's Inn. The food was amazing and the staff were some of the friendliest we've ever come across. Really lovely people who went out of their way to help us. Would definitely go back!. Jules the owner is so wonderful and welcoming, the ambiance is warm and you feel so welcome when you arrive in your room with freshly baked cakes and biscuits. The owners pets roam freely throughout the bar and are just as friendly as the staff. It's a home away from home and everyone's welcomed!. Fabulous Inn, lovely bar area and restaurant and room was immaculate with many luxury touches that made this a special stay for us. Breakfast outside in the sun in the peaceful setting was perfect. Owner was friendly and staff were great. Everything just right, thanks. We will be back soon. The spacious bar and restaurant areas were cosy and comfortable, with 2 open fires. They have an excellent chef and a very good menu. Plenty of parking, comfortable beds and the owner & staff are welcoming and always cheerful. Location is also handy for nearby sites of interest. Our room was at the front of the Inn and it was rather noisy at times; this was partly from the traffic but also from the bar and kitchens downstairs. This is the only reason why I have not given it full stars for comfort, as we otherwise had a brilliant stay. If you are going to stay here, I would recommend asking for the Courtyard room: this is the only room with a separate, standing shower and it is also facing away from the road. My parents stayed in this room and absolutely loved it!. the Mill room overlooks a generator and if a light sleeper would not be the best room to have. Nothing not to like. Shower was not very good and quite weak but lovely bath made up for this. Only criticism was the poor power in the shower, but then I am used to a strong power shower at home. Having to leave!. No negatives to the badgers inn. Bar area a bit small but nice outside area for the summer. There were just a couple of things: The décor in the room was not to our taste (too Gothic) - we didn't like the black satin bedspread! We would have preferred a shower rather than a bath. Room noisy due to traffic on the road outside (and guest in neighbouring room snoring!!). Not much negative to say. Room was a little tired but clean and had a fab bath. Repetitive menu for evening meal. Nothing. Some might think it is too close to the road but it is not a busy road - I slept well. The noise from the traffic was the only problem but due to the fact there was a festival on at Goodwood it was expected and probably not as bad on a normal day. Small shower stall with poor water flow. Nothing. nothing to complain about. Nothing. Everything was great. Shower adequate but could do with updating. bathroom was lovely but only having a (nice) bath and no shower was a bit too quirky for me !. Expensive beer. All good. Whitebait could have done with being fried a bit longer. They weren't very crisp -- but this is a very minor gripe. Nothing at all. There was nothing to fault. The shower did not work very well, but is being replaced this week. Nothing. Som strange art works. No proper shower in room. The shower was pretty weak. The Inn is on a very busy highway so ask for a room at the back.
