Cosa dice la gente
Low price and proximity to Paddington Station (a five minute walk) for the Tube to get to the City and quick access to Heathrow Airport via the Heathrow Express.
The location was relatively quiet at night and there is a park across the street.
There were many shops close by including cafes, pubs and restaurants.
The English breakfast was basic but promptly cooked and served (this was an extra charge of 3 GBP).
The hotel staff were polite and very helpful. tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
day staff very kind and accommodating.; We arrived very early and since there was a room ready we were allowed to check in. The breakfast was great and that staff in the kitchen very very nice. good food.
Friendly and helpful staff at reception and at breakfast. Location is ideal being 2 minutes from Paddington Station. Comfortable bed and pristine bathroom.
Nice size room. Small bathroom but perfectly functional.
friendly staff
unpretentious
value for money.
location, design, comfort, calmness, staff.
Great location friendly staff.
nice setting for london.
Location next to Paddington is excellent, lots of restaurants, shops and
attractions close by. Rooms small, and of course no ac, but that's
to be expected in this area of London unless you stay at a top hotel.
Room was functional, and unusually there was a room for 5, with 4 beds!.
Location was the best thing about this hotel. Everything was in walking distance.
Breakfast was good, but got really busy after 8.30am people were waiting to sit down as there was not enough tables.
The room is equipped with toilet in the room which is good for single guest.
Very convenient location - 100 m from Paddington station.
Location and staff. Breakfast was acceptable.
Location. English breakfast was alright.
friendly staff small but ok room.
The bed was very comfortable.
The staff were friendly.
Staff. Location. Value.
Location & staff.
It was very clean.
The location.
1 Friendly receptionist (s).
2 Clean bed linen.
Location close to Paddington Station.
Nothing. It was a thoroughly dreadful stay...
Nothing.
The single room was rather small with a tiny bed, although quite comfortable. A large person might find the space a little cramped. This is not a room to spend time in: just a place to sleep and take a shower.
The breakfast room has limited seating. Better to come early (7:15 AM) or later towards 9:00 AM.
a bit noisy, room quite small.
The stairs! No elevator/lift..
no milk in bedroom
noisy neighbour with tv on late.
Poor wifi strength and not free, no lift.
nothing it was OK
only as i was at back of hotel i could hear trains but they stopped round midnight.
Breakfast room is very small and gets crowded quickly. Don't bother
springing for the full breakfast unless you are travelling alone. Even
then there are plenty of much better options right around the corner.
Narrow stairs up to our room four flights of stairs with luggage was not easy.
parking was not really explained well and staff didnt know either if you could park outside hotel or not.
Instead of staying at Dolphin Hotel, I was instructed to stay at Shakespear Hotel which I believe have same management.
Very narrow stairs.
I had a room on the the 4th floor, and while I was having a shower the water suddenly stopped coming. It was very inconvenient, to say the least.
No lift would bother some people, especially for the 4th floor.
TV only had CNN & a Greek channel. Receptionist said maintenance man had finished for the day.
no lift room on top floor.
The toilet was smelly, the in the bedroom was blocked with old cigarette stumps, the bedside-table was not clean.
The single room is rather small. There is no working air-conditioning as it is central but I felt nothing. I opened the small window I have but I felt nothing. The W.C. is rather small. All hotels I have visited provide Wi-Fi for free even in the streets while Dolphin hotel charges guests. Moreover, the receptionist wanted ten sterling pounds as a deposit for the TV remote control. I have never heard this before.
Tired decor. Wait for table at breakfast.
Cold beans at breakfast!.
Lack of information on booking in.
The cost of the room.
Noise and lots of other teenagers on corridors and in front of room.
1 TV & TV Remote didn't work!
2 Dining room was too small; it was overcrowded and there was nowhere to sit to eat and drink (at 9am); ate muesli/fruit on the stairs (!) and had to take juice and tea to our room.
Rubbish piled outside waiting collection. Tiny room. Stairs to breakfast room very steep and handrail loose. Not much I did like really.would never stay there again.
Noise from tubes, from Reception. Cracked tiles and badly flushing loo. Filthy curtains. Need I go on?.
Room
No lift!.
