Quiet and surburban. - Warm and friendly welcome. Clean and spacious room. Ideally situated , close to attractions. Helpful staff with lots of local information. A lovely break.

La camera molto carina, il servizio molto gentile - This is a charming BandB. Our room was clean and although it was small the space was used very efficiently. Our host was friendly and very helpful in providing us with information to get around the city. Breakfast was delicious and served in a bright, cheerful room. - Very friendly and helpful.

It was a nice and comfy place, and the staff there were very welcoming and friendly, making us feel very at home. The breakfast served was also very good and sufficient. - Owner friendly and very helpful. Allowed us to store our bags after check-out and before departure on train.

The staff/owners were great, really friendly and very informative... the room was well equipped with shower and toilet etc and was very clean, bed was comfortable.
Tea and coffee making facilities were good and television was well sized.
Breakfast was great and the dining room was well set out providing a friendly atmosphere.

The location is a ten minute walk to the centre of York and permits are provided to enable you to park outside the hotel. We had a downstairs bedroom with en-suite very comfortable and because the Farthings is situated in a quiet street this was a benefit of having a good nights sleep. The staff were very friendly and and were helpful in giving local information. The cleanliness of the rooms are spot on and they provided a wonderful menu for breakfast, we would definatley recommend this gem of

We thought the suite was beautiful. The bed was so, so comfortable and the layout of the room very much to our liking. The whole suite was "quality". The breakfast was immense and kept us going until early evening. The staff we met were very polite and very attentive. The area outside our suite was very nice but the weather wasn't conducive to sitting outside. I would recommend "Mount Royale" very highly! Convenient to the city and all its attractions.

The pool was superb, good hearty breakfast(full English), only a 20 min walk into town and a hotel with free parking(unusual for York). Nice standard 2 star hotel which was comfortable with every thing working. Really good restaurant too. Found most guest houses charging the same rate and with this hotel i had alot of facilities to use eg Restauran
