Cosa dice la gente
We arrived late in the evening owing to no mobile signal in the area. We
received a very warm welcome from Nigel. For our two days stay he was
most helpful, the staff were excellent and happy in their work.
Accommodation was excellent, we will certainly be recommending The Cock.
A friendly and comfortable stay in a quiet location. The rooms are off the road and are pleasingly renovated. Glemsford is a quiet village and a great stop off point. The staff were kind & helpful and there's a great Chinese take-away next door! Good value.tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
Very friendly owners and staff although they had only bought it three
weeks prior to our visit they coped extremely despite the problems they
had to overcome none of which affected our lovely 4 night stay.
The rooms were very well presented and the staff were very friendly and helpful - they could not do enough for you but at the same time were not in your face as it were. We felt very comfortable there.
The hospitality we recieved was 110% We could not have wished for more .
The room was fresh and clean and very inviting and we would not hesitate to recommend this inn to anyone.
Best value for money we have had in our trip of 5 countries. Would have
stayed another night but they were booked out. Warm comfortable room and
a massive big English breakfast.
My Wife and I enjoyed the welcome when we arrived, and the compleat Service we receved from the start, nothing was too much for them, we recomend the Cock Inn to anyone.
What not to like lovely country pub with chalets away from main building - great shower and fans help with the heat,
Great bar staff - good beer and fantastic food.
The landlord (Nigel) was really friendly, helpful and charming - we stayed in a lovely 3 bedroom cottage the other side of the road. Excellent vfm and will return.
Very nice owner and staff, nice place with lots of history... Very good

Clean, comfortable and affordable - staff very friendly, and the breakfasts were excellent.
For a one night stay it was perfect. The staff were exceptionally friendly and flexible.
The warm welcome, comfortable clean bed and being able to turn the heating onas needed.
the kindness of the staff, the quietnessof the place, the good value of everything.

restricted menue.
The Cock Inn was a friendly, family run hotel that was excellent value for money.
Separate building from the pub facilities.
Attentive host.

Breakfast was fab. Staff were friendly and down to earth.
Best place we stayed, in the 5 week trip through the uk.
Very clean and comfortable plus a great breakfast.
It was quiet, comfortable and the food was great.
Staff were very apologetic about their mix up.
Very friendly staff and a lovely old pub.
Friendly helpful staff.
Consideration of staff moving me to a ground floor room due to my mobility problems with an upstairs room - at no additional cost.
I liked the accommodation being separate from the pub.
The staff were friendly and pleasant and the breakfast was good.
Food was excellent. Very quiet first night. Very clean.
good base for visiting tourist attractions, bed comfortable,
New management trying their best to make it work OK.
Staff very friendly. Food was good, but only 4 choices on the menu.
Breakfast was nice.
Not applicable.
Access and exit needed care into a narrow street, my car is quite long
but we managed fine thanks to the owners help.
when pushed to find something wrong, the only thing I can say is that the toilet seat did not always stay up! Other than that there is nothing at all that I didn't like.
Nothing.
The weather - but we'll let them off that one!.
Room was Slightly Dark by the door, also the step into the room was a bit steep.
I do have a mobility problem so it affected me more than my Wife.
Nothing everything was a pleasure.
Does not serve food except for breakfast; bathroom smelled of mold...
Parking is tight as with most old places in the uk.
Evening menu could have been more extensive.
The weather !!! (not their fault ).
Nothing at all.
Nothing.
Nothing.
nothing in particular.
Unable to locate any staff for my booked 07.15 breakfast despite making
loud noises and banging doors to attact some attention. As I was on a
tight time schedule I had to leave without breakfast which was a waste
of my money.
Creaky floors on the 1st floor (not a lot can be done).
Noisy extractor fan in room 1 shower
Breakfast choice; no fruit or muesli. Fixed "full English" with no description or choice of parts.
All minor points - the host had only just taken over the property and pub and is "finding his way", comments meant to help that process.
Nothing.
No key for twin room+bath
No bulb available for bed light
Unreliable WIFI signal.
Nothing.
Some nights there was not food available in the pub, but they were amenable to people buying a chinese takeaway takeaway next door and eating it in the pub lounge.
I found the stairs a little difficult but that Is because of my knee problems.
Not much choice of evening meal . Rooms were quite hot with no air con. T.v. was small and old.
Not a think wrong.
They could have turned the heating on in our rrom before got there, but otherwise, it was all lovely.
Being told they no longer serve food two hours before we arrived.
Asked for a double room on ground floor a month before our arrival only to be told on the day this was not available.
all good.
got lost (twice) trying to find it - very difficult in the dark.
Nothing, it was all good.
We Stayed in room 3. First night was super lovely and quiet. Second night there were people in the room above us. Every floor board in that room must be lose because everytime somebody got up during the night it was like a herd of elephants! Get the odd jobman in! It was also a little inconvenient not being able to sit in bar during day to relax and read our books. However must emphasise food was good.Room was smaller than photos but that happens a lot!.
Room was mismatch styling,
some dirty cutlery and crockery, room small but adequate, lousy parking facility (dangerous access and exit ).
Room was very hot, Like sleeping in an oven. Thermostat didn't
appear to be work properly. Bed was very hard, like sleeping on a slab
of concrete. Advertised as "Real Ales" when there was only one
option of poor quality, fizzy, ipa. Pub was a bit rough, run down and
dilapidated. Nothing really in the village.
