Cosa dice la gente
The staff were the friendliest and most helpful we have ever come ofacross. We were a group of 20 and the staff went over and above the callof duty. Everyone commented on the quality of the hotel and staff. My wife and I arrived late as our flight from Dublin was delayed. When we arrived, the hotel offered us a free upgrade to a suite which was top class. We were v pleased by this.tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
everything was at hand, close to town, excellent service, just arrived and got on with the things you would want to see in edinburgh, everything taken care of. easy access to princes street and all attractions. helpfull staff, comfotable rooms, the price. Friendly staff. The staff were a credit to the hotel. great value for money, and location. Friendliness of staff. great location, clean. It was 5-10 minutes walk from Princes Street, the main shopping street, the room was spacious and comfortable, though run down and shabby, and the room was cleaned every day. The room was large and spacious. Good location-easy access to train and bus services.Comfy bed! Quite a good position for the city centre. Friendly staff. Goodly sized room and well appointed. Buffet breakfast was one of the better of this type that I have experienced. Good selection of food, well presented and the full Scottish breakfast was freshly cooked and hot! Restaurant staff were helpful and courteous.the room was clean and the sheets clean the staff were friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable and clean. Cleanliness. relaxing. Small but comfortable attic room in a Victorian terrace just off the Haymarket. Although small, the room was adequate for our overnight stay with shower ensuite. 10mins walk to the centre of Princes Street. This is an ideal location to get around Edinburgh. Haymaket can be noisy with tram works early in the morning but hotels location is better than the Hilton across the road. central to the city centre, fast check in and out, good breakfast.Good location, nice room. Old fashioned bedroom. size of the room. Location. Good value, considering the location. Free Sunday on-street parking. A minor issue with the remote control has handled in an exemplary fashion which bodes well for service levels. Proximity to city centre and attractions and major transport links was excellent. In the main the room was clean and comfortable.Clean and fairly comfortable room, LCD TV, coffee and tea making facilities in the room, nice staff. Breakfast - but it wasn't included in the rate. location. Stayed in Room 361. Very spacious room. Was very surprised given the reviews of this hotel.Location was good, the breakfast at 10.00 was excellent and the staffvery very helpful. the room was very good size. All facilities in the room were of a goood standard.Good for value. The concierge James was very helpful. The Club Wing is a reasonably priced stay in the centre of Edinburgh particularly given it was a rugby weekend. On account of the failure to relay our special request to the hotel we would not use your company again for booking. Good proximity to Haymarket train station, only four minutes trainjourney to Waverley station in the city centre. The breakfast (extra cost) was excellent. Within easy walking distance of the city center, and very close to a bus route.nothing. It was near the centre of the city and the breakfast was good. overbooked, no rooms, advised only hotel available was over 10 miles out of city centre. Comfortable Bed. Tiles chipped in bathroom, hole in chair. Accounts - delay over taking deposit; then received receipt for only one room; then had to phone to confirm; then three further different amounts taken from visa account, not receipted; needed several further calls to resolve room rate etc. Staff helpful throughout this but unnecessary anxiety over booking. Room rather small, not really big enough for two in a twin room. Had to jump over the beds in order to get from one side of the room to another if the other person was sat down at the dressing table. Even if you took the lift to the higher floors you still had to negotiate 3 small flights of stairs with your suitcases and there was no-one available in reception to help with you. The hotel was quite run down, the repairs to the room that were carried out were patchy and I found things like the broken shelf in the bathroom and the exposed mattresses made the room look even shabbier. The Club Wing desperately needs refurbishing. Also, we had booked two rooms (on the same booking form) and they had allocated the second room in the Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor across the road, rather than in the same wing! This was sorted as the Club Wing had a room available, although it was small, and it was rather disappointing that we had to ask for rooms in the same wing when we arrived. Requested a non-smoking room, however was allocated a designated smoking room which could not be changed as the hotel was fully booked. The hotel receptionist did however offer complimentary breakfast in way of compensation for this inconvenience. The Clun Wing is in need of refurbishment - it is like the Marie Celeste on the ground floor - generally everything is worn- but clean which is excellent. The heating was not turned on in our room - which was cold for November!!. 2 fire alarms on 2 diferrent mornings No hot water on last day. the club wing was looking a little tired, i.e. carpets, however I still think it was good value for money. room could be cleaner. may the fact that i was too hot in my bedroom. wooden flooring. Our room was a lot smaller that the rest of our party. One couple were allocated a large, high ceilng room, which was rather quaint. The other couple had a cramped room which wasn't. After leaving the lift (elavator) ther may still be stairs to negotiate in order to reach the bedroom. Breakfast was not included. Takes 15-20 minutes to walk to downtown. Squeaky floorboards and a blocked shower tray. Window in room to high up to see out of.it was not really close to the town centre, also we found it a bit expensive for what it had to offer, given that breakfast was not included in the price. it's really nothing special but not too bad for a couple of nights as long as you don't expect the high quality of a Hilton. across the road is the main Hilton of which you are allowed to use bar and restaurant. The club wing is across the road from the rest of the hotel - so need to cross the road to go for dinner/breakfast. Not bad as such, just strange.bed not very comfortable and the window in the room wouldn't open for ventitlation. Bathroom old and outdated. The third floor room was very small and couldnt see out of the windows -its old and need doing up but for the price not bad. the room smelled of something unpleasant - maybe because we were in the basement.Need updating. The receptionist did not have a very friendly manner. Price of bottle of water extortionate. The Club Wing is obviously in need of refurbishment. Our window was very old and crumbling. We experienced noise nuisance with guests banging on doors close by at 5.00 in the morning and speaking loudly which woke us. Rooms are very small and the decor was not up to a very good standard, with paper peeling off the walls and grout missing from the bathroomtiling. A very comfortable bed though!. My room had a faulty bath tap thermostat which meant we could not have a bath or a shower! I complained and was offered a small discount from my final invoice. I am sure the fault would have been reported by previous guests, so very dissapointing no action was taken to repair it!. Noisy plumbing from adjoining rooms, dated decor, average housekeeping standards.there is no free internet which is free at most hotels at the world. We had to go across the road to get our breakfast which wasn't very convenient. The door of the bathroom didn't shut properly. There wasn't a mini bar or fridge in the room and the wallpaper was peeling off in places in the hall way to our room. Also, there were no facilities in the hotel like a swimming pool etc - we had to walk into town to use the other Hilton facilities, and pay an extra £5.yes i was staying in room no 2 in the club wing section 1. first when i come in the room the room was to cold 2. there was big hole on the bed sheet in the center 3. somthing was eting my body all the night 4. no glasses in the room at all. 5. when i wake up in the morning i notice that bath room door was loocked and i codent open it. The room was very disapointing. Well below my expectations for a Hilton. The room extremely small, worn out furnishings, mold in the bathroom. Very disapointed. The hotel is very tired and needs refreshing, my partner tripped and scratched his new shoes on a metal footplate coming through the entrance and when we highlighted how dangerous this was no one was concerned, there were a lot of glass bottles of water all over the landing and someone brought in fish and chips and the lift and floor did not have a very pleaseant smell. We were very disappointed. Awful beds!!! Couldn't lay properly, cause the bed was in a false position. The hotel has apparently undergone a 3 million pound refurbishment.I believe our room was over looked. The sink was cracked, the bathroom floor was uneven leaving a 2 inch gap between the tile and the bottom of the bath. The bathroom door was cracked and poorly painted. The television had a poor picture, was missing channels and the channels which were there had very poor or no sound.
