  This is the fifth time I have stayed at the Green Dragon over the past 20 years, so that must give some indication. It is located in beautiful countryside about 5 minutes outside Cheltenham, on the old road to Circencester. The food is excellent and the beer good. A perfect place to spread out and relax when visiting the cotswolds. - The Green Dragon is a quintessential English pub, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the heart of lovely countryside, the likes of which continue to sadly disappear. It serves good quality pub grub at reasonable prices, has a good range of beers and wines all served by an attentive and efficient staff. A very enjoyable visit.

  We liked the beautiful grounds and the obvious level of care that goes into them. The room was spacious as was the bathroom - lovely toiletries and facilities in the bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Everything clean and pleasant. The staff in the restaurant and bar were super-efficient and pleasant and happy to accommodate the customers. The spa tr... cosa dice la gente » eatments were bliss, the indoor and outdoor pools lovely and the view from our bedroom in the main house peaceful and beautiful. Lovely breakfast and - From the minute we checked in, the service was friendly, polite, simply wonderful. We booked a better room (3 stories) which felt like a mini hideaway with the bathroom spread over one floor with the most delectable products. The bed and bedding was Devine and hard to leave! Dinner that evening also surpassed our expectations and the crab bisque was one of the best I've ever had. Truly the best break from London imaginable and we can't wait to go back!
