East View Guest House is a useful base for Hadrian’s Wall walkers and the nearby Lake District. It is 10 minutes’ walk from Carlisle Railway Station and less than a 5-minute stroll from Stony Holme Golf Course.

Location. Friendliness of owners. Cleanliness and appearance is excellent and appealing. House and room decor is brilliant. Room facilities, excellent. Just loved our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. First time in Carlisle, and we have no reason to stay anywhere else if visiting again. The location is straight off the motorway and 5 min down that road. After a tiring journey it couldn't have been easier. Excellent for business trips.
tutti gli commenti dei clienti » Can't speak highly enough about my brief stay at East View Guest House. Beautiful double aspect room, spotlessly clean with brand new en suite, plus a nice firm bed. I was in Carlisle for a running event which started at 7am, when I told the owner I was leaving at 5.30am she brought me a breakfast tray complete with flask of milk,croissant, banana, cereal and juice. Sorry I didn't find out her name. I rate this B&B as excellent. Julie was very friendly and helpful. The only guests on Sunday night, we had pick of rooms. We had #7, I believe, at the top. I liked the bathroom up the stairs from the sleeping area. Great view over the housetops from its big window. Being Sunday evening, most restaurants were closed but we had good Mexican dinner at Pancho's by train station. Julie was a great hostess, even did some laundry for us. Breakfast was superb with fresh fruit, berries and yoghurt as well as a good English Breakfast. Our room was large, however ensuite had no ventilation. Easy walk into town to eateries. Not too far to drive to Hadrian's Wall and Lanercost Priory. The room was lovely and light with a bow window and a side window, the decor was attractive. I arrived shortly before 3pm and just rang to to ask about parking but was welcomed in immediately.. One of nicest places, hotel, guesthouse or B nd B I have stayed in . friendliness and helpfulness. The best experience of our complex trip. Beautiful place, lovely spacious room, excellent breakfast, and help offered by the wonderful friendly hosts -- everything from finding transportation and routes to doing our laundry -- was well beyond what could be expected of busy innkeepers. Excellent service and a friendly welcome. Rooms were well equipped with great attention to detail. Clean and comfortable. Wifi available was a bonus. Despite being situated on a busy road, it was quiet at night allowing for a restful sleep. Excellent spot for a short walk into town. Excellent character accommodation with new modern fittings. Excellent hosts with a great knack to be present when you want assistance but to disappear when you want to be alone. Quality, filling breakfast thrown in for free. Great suggestions of local attractions and eateries. Super clean place to stay! Beautifully decorated rooms - all very stylish. Lovely landlady Julie did everything to make us comfortable and then some. Breakfast was superb - all in all a super place to stay and very comfy bed! Will definitely return. Away from the busy centre. Nicely modern decorated room of a large size and clean. But best of all was the breakfast which is one of the best we've had and we've stopped in a number of places. Staff were lovely and friendly also. The breakfast was fantastic. good wi-fi access. One minor fault in en suite was fixed immediately. Ian and Julie were perfect hosts and we really enjoyed our week there and would not hesitate to return if in the area. The room was very nice and warm. We both felt the welcome that we recieved was very good, although there was a little confusion regarding the time of breackfast, which were exellent the bedroom was good and the bed was exellent. It was our daughters graduation at the Carlisle Cathedral and this lovely B&B was located close by to either walk or catch a taxi. It was a lovely place to stay for two nights. Location was ideal. If anyone has knee or hip problems, the stairs to rooms could be a problem. They are safe to walk up. All good. nothing. Can't think of anything negative. Just a small thing, bit of tlc needed for a few things in the room which need repairing and the plumbing in the bathroom wasn't great - toilet had to be flushed more than once every time, and that wasn't due to us!. A minor thing,was the three stories, that we had to climb to get to the bedroom, but the bed was very comfortable. The bedroom was clean. Nothing!. nothing. N/A. Limited parking. Nothing. Having to move on too soon !. Bathroom was a little bit small and would have liked a bath. Everything was lovely. No complaints. Nothing. The tables or surfaces for placing things were too small. A larger table would have been nice. Not much room for parking. Difficult to fault anything. bhs what A tatty shop re cafe and toilets it put me off spending in there. seeing the cinema boarded up not sure if you have A new cinema somewhere else?. car parking can be a bit tight. However not a real problem. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing really a great value place. nothing. Only downside is small parking area, but we had np problem parking. But hotel wasn't full. So could be a problem. nothing. Can not think of any faults. Nothing to dislike. Liked everything.
