The hotel offered several little 'touches' that made our stay unique and very pleasurable...filtered coffee in the room, fruit, bottles of water, luxurious towels, lovely decor and beautiful food. the attention to detail. The 4 poster room was compact yet perfect for a romantic get away - bathroom outstanding for this level of accomodation . Service was warm, genuine and personalised.tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
A personalised hotel, with great attention to the smallest details to retain the character of the property. Restaurant excellent menu. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful, updated hotel with very pleasant helpful staff. Good food. Good quality for the rate would stay again. Lovely room, very cosy atmosphere, super service,. Very friendly staff - lovely hotel. We stayed at the Burford Lodge to attend a family party. Young and old, and there was quite a difference in ages, had a lovely time. The staff were very attentive and catered for our every need. Our rooms, six in total, were all very clean and well appointed. Our evening meal and breakfast were excellent. After our late night we all thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast!. Great dinner menu-nice atmosphere-very accomodating. Made us snadwiches when we arrived which was very kind as we had been travelling all day. Great coffee in rooms-usually it's horrible!!! Plus very nice little touches we really appreciated. The staff were friendly and helpful and they worked as a great team. Our room "Winters Tale" beautifully appointed. Overall the, attention to detail showed. Very good hotel, excellent value for money. Staff were really friendly and helpful, rooms claen and well presented. Lovely atmosphere in the whole place.the staff were extremely helpful, nothing was too much for them and the room and the facilities were very clean. Very accommodating friendly staff. Lovely four poster bedroom.the service, quality of food and friendly staff. friendly, homely atmosphere. Friendly ,helpful staff. excellent food. Excellent warm welcome and pleasant staff and the room was perfect. Also, breakfast was first class and we appreciated the quality of service at all times. welcoming and friendly staff, comfort, good food. Dinner was excellent and well presented as was breakfast next morning. The dining room was very clean and well laid. The room was very comfortable despite its limited space. The hotel was in easy reach of the village of the beautiful village of Burford and also within easy reach of other Cotswold attractions.Overall very good. The owners have obviously spent a lot of time and money refurbishing it. Staff were attentative, friendly - the evening meal was lovely. I have recommended the hotel to a friend who will has made a reservation. The rooms were beautiful, and the food was excellent. The staff were friendly, but not obtrusively so.Lovely surroundings. Helpful staff. Excellent Service, helpful staff.Excellent service. Room was lovely, four poster bed and spa bath were a real bonus. friendly/ helpful staff. Personal service due to being small hotel. Needed an early start and breakfast basket in room very good.Warm, friendly. Efficient service. Good value for money. Very clean presentable room. staff were very helpful. The food and service. the friendliness of the staff, decor of the room, quality of the extras in the room such as coffee, tea and fruit. proper napkins not paper serviettes. good quality towels. The location its close to lovely village.Convenience to Burford. Shower. Cleanliness of room. Evening meal was excellent. Homely feel. My single bed shared with my husband was very confortable! bed linen was of v. good quality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. The friendliness of the staff. Breakfast was tasty. The stairs to get to our room at the top of the hotel...though the climb with our suitcases was worth it!. the winters tale room which we stayed in was towards the busy road and the noise was quite audible. it was situated on the busy A40 road and there was a fair bit of noise from the passing cars.you could not make just one cup of coffee, you had to use a large sachet. And there was only one. planes noisy over Burford. For the standard price of the room I would have expected wide-screen television and satellite TV, not just 5 terrestrial stations. Comparable hotels in Europe offer satellite TV as standard. The room was a little small for the huge four poster bed and the advert was misleading. It said there was only one (out of three) four poster rooms left. We were the only guests that night. A little expensive. Strange bath/shower/ceiling arrangement... Beds were very soft!! Very subjective I know, but I have a back problem - hence had a very very uncomfortable night!. Rooms a little small for two and no working desk or arm chair. N/A. Bed a little soft. No breakfast, apart from a food basket, before 8.30 am was a littel annoying. room could have been better.as bedsprings uncomfortable and noisy.washbasin hotwater tap loose shower access too high and unsafe. The bed in our room was very uncomfortable. The food was a real let down- bland and lacking quality. lack of bar space to enjoy a pre dinner drink. Its on a really busy main road, our evening meal was really bad, not good portions and very expensive, and so were drinks all overpriced. The toilet did not flush properly. The food was good but very ordinary. Location - Adjacent to A40. Only room service available for breakfast before 8.30am. for a four star rated hotel, the lack of serviced provided was very poor! I don't eat meat and my breakfast is very basic, hot coffee and toast!!! Both morning it was cold, I even warmed up teh cup prior to pouring the coffee, and it was still cold!! We paid £270 for a twin room, which was a reduced rate and it was a valentine special!????????. Noise from main road - although there was double glazing it was not fitted/sealed properly. Very old fashioned decor. Service at breakfast was very poor - half an hour wait for poached egg on toast even tho only people in dining room. Looked nothing like website. Menu not nearly as interesting. Hotel had probably seen better times. Seemed 'tired'. Room a little small. Road noise, quality of standard room (I had to upgrade to deluxe room for decent accom.), overall not up to the standard it claims. I'd pitch it as 3 star at best. The whole electric socket came away from the wall when unplugging a plug, very poor in terms of HandS - nosiy as next to main road despite double glazing, over priced for shabby and tired looking fittings and general manner of manageress or owner. It proudly boasts a refurbished look, goodness only knows what it was like before.
