The room was comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities and a big bathroom. A great state of the art gym with all the machines and weights you would hope for- these seemed almost brand new! The hotel was full of character and well thought out. The staff were unbelievably helpful and nothing was too much trouble... they even dried our swimmers for us on our last day! The staff were all very nice and friendly. The hotel is very close to the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, which is why we chose it. My wife is an outpatient at this hospital, and disabled. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful.

Friendly welcome. welcoming entrance. Clean comfortable rooms nicely decorated. Thoughtfulness for guests little touches such as fresh milk available to go with tea trays. crisps / chocolate available to purchase. Fans in rooms (we visited in a heatwave) and every effort was made to cool rooms down. Very friendly and helpful owners/staff. -

A short walk to town, although walking up the hill (back from Bath) can be challenging if you have poor fitness. A cab from town only cost £6, which is a cheap alternative to walking up the hill.
Overall a wonderful stay and I would definitely stay at the Devonshire House again.

I was there because my son was competing in the Special Olympics in Bath. I stayed at the YHA because it was close to the University campus and a good price and I like an adventure. I regularly stay here because of my commuting lifestyle. Having stayed in all of Bath's hostels, YHA is definitely the best.. By far! It has so many more benefits and facilities than the others. The showers are actually hot in private wet rooms within a communal setting. I also like that there is a sink in all of the dorm rooms. Food can be kept in the fridges in the self catering kitchen and all cooking facilities from microwaves to gas cookers and ovens. Like with any hostel, take padlocks a

The hotel is very well situated and the facilities are very good value for money. The restaurant offered a good choice of dishes which were good value. The breakfasts very very good offering a good choice of options and very plentiful.
