All of it. We stopped at Barnard Castle to celebrate birthdays on the way back from Scotland, our favorite hotel ever. Rooms lovely, ours had a big veranda, there were single en suite available for 2 of our party. The food was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. -

A great and unique hotel. The rooms were amazing and the staff friendly and helpful. The location is a great base for Cumbria, North Yorkshire and the North East. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant has a good menu. Couldn't recommend the hotel enough and would definately recommend a suite if one is available. - You get what you pay for ! Th

This is a lovely family run hotel, and we were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. It's conveniently located right in the heart of the town, and has its own private car-park. Geraint, the owner of this delightful find, replied to my enthusiastic praise of our room by telling me he just wants people to have a lovely break. This sums up our overnight stay to a tee. Every attention to any detail which could make a stay more comfortable was on tap, from a wonderful tea tray selection with home made biscuits, to the 3D tv and amazing quality decor. Breakfast was amazing, silver service in your room - I wish we had booked for a week! Barnard Castle has a lot to offer
