The attitude of all the staff during what must be a very slow time of the year. There was good service at both breakfast and dinner. There was an excellent menu, particularly for the off season. The young lady on reception went out of her way to locate a photocopying shop for me to use. The service from the staff was exceptional, the room very comfortable, will use the Hotel again if and when appropriate.tutti gli commenti dei clienti »
All staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much work for them. I would highly recommend this hotel. value for money and the friendliness of the staff. Nothing was too difficult.A fabulous Queen size bed. Food good.Staff extremely helpful. Staff very helpful. Food and service was very good.Atmosphere and all of the above!. Friendliness of staff. freindliness. Great staff, dinner, beer, room and breakfast. Premier Inns were not available that evening near Banbury.Friednly staff; good value food and accommodation, well sited for exploring Banbury. We were made very welcome our room was spotlessly clean and the food excellant.excellent value for money even excluding the special sunday night offer. Very comfortable bed, double glazing, very good choice of breakfast menu. Unlike other comments water was extremely hot but had to run it for quite a while to get it to come through. The service - the staff were very friendly and attentive. It IS on a main road and we were at front of building but we slept well as the bed was comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was excellent.very friendly staff, most polite and made us feel relaxed. friendly staff, pleasant food and good beer. Food and staff service. Food Excellent - small traditional hotel. Friendly staff. Room was better than expected. Great character and atmosphere enhanced with the friendly staff... pleasant helpful staff. good sized room wih very comfortable bed. Loads of character. Attractive bar and dining area. very central good clean hotel with good breakfast. would use again. Good breakfast. Central location. breakfast. Central location. would use again. A member of staff on duty at breakfast was very polite and helpful, answering the queries we had. Good location, with private parking at rear, easy access to the town. and cinema. Location was good. For someone who lives in the country and has no traffic noise from ten 'til seven my front room was a bit noisy but most hotels suffer in this way and the double glazing did help. ( For the price charged this was excellent value ) I cannot answer about the guest reviews as I have not read any.The reception area looked run down and needed sprucing up,this could put people off coming in from the street. The bar area to the left as you walk in the door looked really grubby especially as there was no carpet. With it being Saturday night the pub opposite was having a disco - so quite noisey upto 12.30 am.and afterwards with rowdies throughout the night. Would want a rear facing room if staying there again.A noisy disco across the road finished at 12:30am. had to pay for wi fi. I thought the hotel was 300 years old but the notice on the wall says its only 50 years old. And there is no Banbury Cross !?. The double bed had a dip in the middle which was uncomfortable.Nobody on reception on arrival, had to phone a number then wait 5 minutes, nobody there when checking out either, had to go to kitchen to find a member of staff to check us out. The rooms at the back of the building overlook a marquee so I think if you were staying in one of those when an event is on, it would not be a quiet experience!. Our rooms overlooked the garden, and with the new smoking laws, the garden was busy so the children found it difficult to get to sleep. the food seemed as though it was kept warm as it was seved very quickley and found to be in parts dried out. Disco noise. Needs some redecoration in places. Lack of free WiFi access. room needed a decent shower. On a very main road so nosiy if you wanted the window open.Tired carpets, tired woodwork and tired decorations in some areas. Poorly fitting doors and locks on our room door gave us the feeling of poor room security. Breakfast was certainly not available at the advertised 7am start time - more like 7:15am. tv played slightly fuzzy,is this acceptable in 2008 i dunno. Restaurant closed at 21.00 on Sunday. The shower was very cramped and water when in shower went between very hot and very cold with no warning. Difficulty of access into hotel late at night necessitating 2 phone calls to find the way in!. Heating far to high in rooms. Not being able to get to the 7am breakfast due to locked rear entrance.Phoned and got answer phone. Seemed to be very short staffed. A guestunlocked the door at 7.30am. The bathroom had an awful smell on complaining in the morning a halfharted appol was given.
