  Enormous, characterful room with massive furniture and huge bathroom with corner jacuzzi. Really something special at the price ! The hotel itself is like something out of a Conan Doyle story - ornate Victoriana and more or less tasteful chintz; a little overpowering at first sight but certainly impressive. Capable and friendly staff coupled with a... cosa dice la gente » n excellent and varied breakfast. Recommended ! - We stayed in the Kings room which was a new wing finished in Oct 08. The room was very well appointed and catered for all our needs, eg air con, large comfortable bed, plasma screen and very quiet at night. Also a beautiful ensuite. Excellent buffet breakfast and the staff were very efficient and helpful. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

  Have just returned home after spendig one night in the Crowne Plaza, Chester. This hotel is in an excellent location quite near the main street with shops, bars etc. Also it is beside the bus station which allows you to easily get to Cheshire Oaks outlet park and Chester Zoo. The deal for hb 1st night is anexcellent idea and one I would use again. The room was well furnishedand a decent size.
